Rinn Miyagawacho Grande

Everything! Especially the bathroom. It was REALLY nice- I always enjoy a nice clean bathroom. That exceeds everything for me. The room also felt very clean, and they replace your towels for you. The staff was spectacular and very accommodating. Very nice place that was in walking distance to a lot of the popular attractions. I would stay again!

Quiet location, residential street in Gion. We can open the windows for fresh air. Toilet and shower in separate rooms, which I like. Very clean. 7-11 down the block. About 8 min walk to lots of restaurants and shops. Staff was very friendly.

Location was really great for cultural exploring around Gion and the Temple/Shrine Area. Konbini nearby. Staff were very friendly and spoke english which was convenient. We got the room with the tatami area which allowed us more room to place our items and luggage. Washer/dryer was nice as well. Close to gion shijo station. Amenities were provided

Room ran a bit dry. Had to transfer to go to Kyoto Station which can be difficult with luggage. We shipped our bigger ones and opted to take a taxi when arriving.

a great and personal stay, in a wonderful location so easy to walk to most places. Lovely wee bar just around the corner with a tiny village feel, lots of wonderful restaurants to choose from and handy to bus and metro stops.

Fantastic value for money - located along a beautiful walking-only lane in Gion. It is a close walk to train stations as well as the atmospheric streets of Gion. The hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful to make reservations. I highly recommend Rinn Miyagawacho Grande and I would stay here again were I to come back to Kyoto.

The room was small but this is normal for the area. We were comfortable.

Everything. Location is convenient yet quiet and peaceful. Walkable to many great sites. Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was comfortable, stylish and clean.

I loved the hotel’s location it is close to many attractions, great restaurants as well as buses and subway. I have been traveling through Japan for two months and had the best sleep at this hotel. It was very quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location is perfect, the room is nice, quiet and clean.

It's not possible to open the window and get some fresh air. There was no wardrobe to put clothes or bags to (there were some hooks with hangers on the wall though).

Location was good, quite central to all major areas and not too far from subway, train and bus.

The smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Room was so small that we could not even walk around the bed. One person had to climb over the other person to get out of bed or visit the bathroom. No closet at all! Nowhere to put anything. Luggage had to be stored under bed at all times as nowhere to put even one suitcase. This was advertised as a double room but to be honest it was really only meant for one person. Claustrophobic.

Great location; close to transit, the market, and restaurants. The room felt bigger than typical hotel rooms. Bathroom was very spacious. Shelf space, number of power plugs, cleanliness of room and hotel were all wonderful positives.

Only one washer/dryer for the entire hotel.

Clean rooms, excellent location! Staff helped us ship our luggage. There is a washer in the lobby, but we used the washer at a self service laundromat which was excellent and less than a block away. There are many small restaurants within minutes of the hotel. The location near the river is perfect.

The room was small which is typical for Japanese hotels.

I liked that it was very quiet, extremely clean, and it provided comfortable relaxation after a wonderful day of sightseeing.

The one washing machine was always busy, but we found a self-laundry right around the corner. It could use some more hanging areas for clothing or an iron to press out the wrinkles.

It was a good location and the staff were lovely.

The room was smaller than I thought, toilet is in a weird spot.

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and overall a great stay for our days in Kyoto. The room is a typical size for Japan but we were able to fit comfortably with two adults and one large suitcase. It's on a quieter street within minutes of the busy Pontocho Alley with tons of food and bar options. Also really close to multiple subway stops so it was easy to get around.

Great hotel. Very comfortable beds, big room compare to Japan. Great location, but still quiet. Nice and helpful staff.

No breakfast available. We opted for the Doutor chain sandvich and coffee. Location was perfect, between the city center and Gion sights within walking distance and subway stop 50m away.

Very small room for two people. Better not bring a lot of luggage.
