Ace Hotel Kyoto

It felt like a nice little home rather than a hotel. It felt very authentic to the area. It was close to many things in Kyoto.

Location and staff.

Historical Room was spacious with great bedding and pillows. Location is close to many restaurants and attractions. Gym equipment was great with courtyard views. Staff was responsive to any requests.

Room was not sunny and lighting was dim. Also no views on 2nd & 3rd floor. We asked to move up one from 2nd floor to third since there was road noise and street view of McDonalds. Very Hipster vibe. Internet service was terrible. Network slow and not secure.

The hotel is great for westerners. It has all the amenities that make the stay a bit more comfortable. Great location and service was good.

The restaurants were ok. But it is Kyoto. Eating out should be the priority as there is so much good food.

Location was very convenient — just steps away from great coffee & restaurants and public transportation.The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout my stay. The design of the hotel was hip, modern style and traditional all at the same time. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and convenient Kyoto experience.

We loved the Ace Hotel Kyoto! It was perfect for our honeymoon, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Beautiful products, amazing coffee, and lots of fabulous restaurant recommendations. This is a must stay for anyone visiting Kyoto.

location, staff, interior and design !

It’s such a great hotel with a beautiful interior, spacious design-focused rooms, and thoughtful details around the entire property. I love the way it’s seamlessly connected to the Karasuma Oike station. As a returning guest, they left two small bags of snacks in my room as a thank you for coming back. One night I was there the hotel hosted a well-known DJ and producer from the Stones Throw Record label.

I wish there was a small pool/onsen area because so many hotels in Kyoto offer it.

The staff is exceptional. The property is well located, close to a subway, with various trendy and useful shops.

The property is beautiful. It is really nice to have a coffee shop on site as well as multiple restaurants. The rooms are large, comfortable and well designed. The bed, pillows and bedding were especially comfortable and the pressure in the shower was amazing.

It is a bit of a walk (20 mins) to the river where many of the bars and restaurants are, but nice to be a touch removed from the thick of it. There is no ventilation in the shower/bath room leaving a light odor.

The hotel is stylish, comfortable, well located, in an area that's less busy with tourists. The women who run the front desk are exceptional.

I love the location. The hotel is dog friendly. The room has good sound insulation. Our dog and us had a really good night sleep during our stay. The breakfast was amazing.

Convenient location and helpful staff. We asked the lady at the front for ramen recommendations and she gave us really great place to go. They also have electric bikes that you can borrow for free (first come first serve)Room is normal sized and very stylish.

I wish they put in some thoughts in designing space for opening two carry-on luggages.

Beautifully designed, amazing location!

It was a bit pricy considering how simple the room was. The lobby was also very overcrowded I think because the area has a shopping district attached so people go sit in the lobby and work.

The breakfast was good......buffet style and an option for a meal selection. The location of the hotel fit our needs very well. It was close to where we wanted to be. Easy access to LOTS of shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

The location is convenient to several restaurants, street markets, and entertainment venues.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location! There is access to the hotel directly from the karasuma oike train station. Rooms were comfortable, quiet and secure. Facilities including on-site restaurants were wonderful, and we loved the garden. Will return the next time we are in Kyoto.

EVERYTHING. We had such an amazing stay at Ace Hotel Kyoto. I have stayed at many Ace properties and this one took the cake. The design, the location, the food, the room. All of it was so magical and felt comfortable while feeling so unique to the location.

Nothing - everything was truly above and beyond.

Location is brilliant, surrounded by great shops, good food options and accessibility to further explore Kyoto.Room was spacious (in Japan standards - but enough space for ample luggage and to move around) and bathroom was lovely.Hotel facilities - gym perfectly adequate for hotel.

Coffee shop is convenient but there are better (more local) options nearby.Bed/bedding could be better but this is me being picky.If you have the opportunity to stay here - do!

I like the room, the service, the breakfast, the location

I did not like that I have been charged for supposed stolen laundry bags. They were just removed from their place and put on the desk. My account has been debited. I contacted the hotel, complained and explained where were the bags. They say yes, thank you. But I have never been reimbursed after 3 calls!@
