Nagoya JR Gate Tower Hotel

Good location, nice facility and very clean.

The staff at reception processing my check in spoke very fast with his poker face. I felt no hospitality as I arrived at a high quality hotel. I rarely give negative comments to the receptionists of the hotels.

The room and bathroom were large, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff at the Gatehouse restaurant were very helpful and accommodating of someone with a disability. The free water bottles came in handy.

The hotel and room are extremely far away for someone with mobility issues. The staff were not welcoming when we first arrived but became more so afterwards. There was hair all over the room and bathroom when we checked in. The bathtub was not cleaned properly, so I got a rash after bathing in it. The blinds do not fully cover the bathroom windows, so it is unclear if people can see in from outside or not.

Location was great! Friendly and helpful staff. Very near to the mall. Hotel rooms are clean and we'lle equipped.

Clean, great view and convenient.

Conveniently located for train travelers. From Takayama, taking the JR train to Nagoya. The hotel is in the station from 15th floor and up. Going to the airport, just 10 mins. Walk inside the station and we reached the Meitetsu train station. Just a 30 mins ride brings us to Chubu International airport. The room is big enough to pack our 3 big luggages. There is a pod coffee/tea maker in the room. There is also a separate kettle to refill our drinking bottle. Slippers are also provided and 2 bottles of water.

The breakfast and the cleanliness of the room. The staff were wonderful.

The towels felt a little rough.

The location is very convenient when you have to catch an early train. Bed is comfortable. You get coupons for stores in the station.

Can’t really say from just one night.

Location was excellent. Connected to Nagoya train station. Many shops eg Uniqlo and BIC in the same building. The hotel was clean and feels new. Service was excellent. We asked for a change of room as we wanted views of the train tracks and this was done immediately with a staff helping us with the move.

Very convenient location above JR station. Great restaurants and shopping just below the hotel. Friendly and welcoming hotel service. I will definitely be back.

Clean and fuss free registration. Friendly and attentive staff. Very near to shopping street and train. Pillows are hard and soft. Well done.

The hotel is connected to both the train station and a mall! Very creative placement loved that we could just outside our room and have access to whatever we wanted/needed

Really love the location just above the JR station, though have to take two elevators.Beeakfast has so many variety and yummy.Clean and new room. And got everything you need for staying.Quite expensive but worth it

I really liked the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and a great size. The location right next to Nagoya Station was perfect for me

The location is central to almost all the restaurants, attractions and shopping. We stayed for one night before transiting to Kyoto and we're glad we did. All the shopping located right at hotel/station and business services (Postal services, etc) nearby all within walking distance. Signage (in English) to hotel from station extremely helpful and easy to find after Shinkansen! Hotel front desk was extremely helpful with holding our luggage until check in. Moderate Guest Rooms do not include W/D in room, only Superior Guest rooms...so be sure to book a Superior room if you want this feature. They also provided coupons to restaurants on 13th floor but didn't realize it until after we dined...oops! Be sure to check your check-in paperwork for more coupons!

Great location for transportation, shopping, dining. Comfortable room for 2 adults and a toddler (think it was superior double room)

Had issues with the wifi which took a bit of time to get fixed, but the staff was friendly and tried to help and it was resolved completely by the next day.No self laundry option is a bummer
