    Pros +

    • This was an excellent choice of stay, two steps from the main train station so carrying luggage was easy. I would say it's mostly a business hotel with simple but functional rooms on high floors. Reception staff was great. There is a Vietnamese restaurant downstairs that serves breakfast and prices are normal, quality very good. Many other places near the hotel and the area is open late also. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
    • The property was conveniently located. The restaurant was good.
    • The hotel is very nice, clean, and modern (especially the lobby). It is a short walk from Nagoya Station, located on the main street with plenty of shops, restaurants, and convenience stores. The staff were very friendly, and everyone seemed to speak English, so don't worry if you can't speak Japanese.I recommend adding the breakfast. It is served by the Vietnamese restaurant downstairs. Although I was skeptical at first of Vietnamese food for breakfast, it was actually very good! They even have packets of instant Vietnamese coffee, which was surprisingly tasty. There are TWO hotels on the Taiko Dori side--one to the right and one to the left. I went to the wrong one (to the right). When you exit the station, walk to the main street and turn LEFT; the hotel is on the RHS. I don't know why directions aren't clearly stated on Booking.com or hotel websites (for people who are "direction-challenged"). *This is not a complaint, but a suggestion to the hotel: The lobby is very nice, especially in the evening. It would be even better if coffee, tea, or even wine were available so guests could enjoy the ambience while sipping on a beverage.*

    Cons -

    • The room I had was not the best. There was more room in the hallway space leading to the room than the room itself. It was not configured in the best arrangement to be comfortable. It also should not have had a full bed for a room that size. A twin bed would’ve been the max size for that particular room.
    • My main disappointments were: 1) the price. It was incredibly expensive. True, it was close to the new year and convenient to the station, but I have stayed at luxury hotels for the same price as this room. 2) the size: Although there was a queen-sized bed, the room was pretty small and not easy to maneuver around. Also, I reserved a corner room thinking there would be a lot of windows and a nice view (which would have justified the price), but there was just one small window looking out to a parking area.
    • The room we stayed for one night was not clean. My wife stepped on a pinky sock under bed-likely left by a previous guest. The breakfast was so simple, lack of basic selections—certainly not worth of ¥2000-I would say that we had the worst breakfast for the week among the four hotels we stayed.

The hotel is very close to Nagoya Station, and has a 7eleven store at its entrance.

This hotel is only 5 minutes on foot from the Nagoya station on the Taiko Dori side. The key is one must remember to exit on the Taiko Dori Side or one may wind up at a wrong Daiwa hotel because there are several of them around the station. The staff are excellent, helpful, and adequately proficient in English.

The hotel breakfast is not worth the money. Skip it and go to places around the train station instead.

    Breakfast place was good.

The room stunk and the freshener didn’t really help. I asked the staff if I could change rooms but they said all rooms are probably the same. Never stay there again.

Location is near subway and jr station so food and shopping is goodit also happen to be quite near to meeting point for put ghibli tour and shirakawago tour

one of the room facing the main road which still can hear speedingmotorcycle and ambulance at night

The property was close to the metro. And close to a lot of restaurants.

It is really small. When you come from North America you will be shock to find how small the rooms are. There is just no extra rooms to move. And there are no English channels on there tv.

no comments i find the hotel comfortable and close the JR nagoya station

i dont find negative things on this hotel . thank you Daiwa Roynet hotel Nagoya

It was very conveniently located to the train station, multiple restaurants nearby and a 7-11 on the bottom level

The staff was rude. The room was tiny. The bed took up all the room and there was no place to store clothes. Since the room was so small we decided to have dessert in the lobby, We were then asked to not eat or drink in the lobby, and not politely.

Location, close to train station and the biggest supermarket in the city. A lot of restaurants nearby.

The room setting is a bit strange, need to move furniture to accommodate big luggage.

The location is great, very close to Nagoya station. The room is clean, and both the chair and desk are very comfortable - extra points for providing an office chair as the standard option. However, there could be some improvements with communication and amenities.

I lost the keycard and staff make new card for me without charge.

A 5 minutes walk from Nagoya station :)This branch (as there are 2 other Daiwa Roynet hotels around Nagoya station) is also very near places that will most likely appeal to those who are into anime and manga culture like me, including places like TCG card shops, book stores, an Animate outlet and the Animate cafe! The staff are friendly and this hotel offers an ample supply of coin laundries as well as a luggage delivery service!

My room came with a big massage chair which was unnecessary for me, and although the room has a decent amount of space, I could use a little more without the chair. Some people might not see this as a negative point though!

Proximity to Nagoya Sta. and 7-11 at the ground level. Pajamas are provided. Drip coffee in disposable sachets always available at the self-service area near reception.

The mattress was hard for my liking and there was only one pillow per person. Wish the hotel used better brands for toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) like Pola

    7CheePosted on: 3-8-2025

It’s clean and it’s close proximity to the train station.

Nothing major. Maybe the area is bit quiet for me. Need to hunt for washing machine that is available until late at night.

    8LeniPosted on: 2-19-2025

Excellent location with 7/11 downstairs and shops nearby. Very clean room.

    6VeronikaPosted on: 2-15-2025

Staff was super lovely, even let me check in 30 minutes early. The location was very good, easy to get to places - especially Ghibli Park. The Combini downstairs was cool & handy.

The bed was hard, pillows were uncomfortable. The room looked like it could use some TLC and probably spring cleaning. It wasn't horrible but not Japanese standard, in my opinion.TV was old and couldn't handle YT, Netflix, etc.

    location is convenient

room was a little small. No space for luggages

The type of floor carpet seems not clean.
