    Pros +

    • Convenient location if driving outside the Nagoya city center. Rooms are small but typical of most Japanese hotels. Having access to the public onsen is a nice plus and breakfast was free. Service/Staff was friendly, though English is very minimal.
    • The carpeted relaxation area with spa, restaurant, reading and resting spaces, icecream machines, massage parlors was clearly a positive surprise. You can use your hotel room entry card to enter the spa and even pay for goods and services.
    • The hotel was very clean and the staff was very good and helpful.

    Cons -

    • Breakfast for 1 or 2 days is quite good due to lots of choices, but as we stayed for 7 days, it was the exact same food every day which got quite boring. Still, it was free so cannot complain too much but some variety/changes to certain dishes every 1-2 days would have been preferred. The other thing we found strange was 5-6yr old boys being brought into the female onsens. While clearly this is acceptable in Japanese culture. my wife just felt it was strange. Lastly, the temperature setting was very inconsistent. 22C heat was very hot but was the lowest temperature we could set. Also, there was a continuous water dripping sound in our bathroom.
    • The location is a bit far from the center, though still accessible with public transport. It takes about 7 minutes from the nearest Kasadera station on foot, needing to go through an overpass.
    • It was kind of in an isolated area. Supermarkets are a little far from the hotel.

Terrible and discriminative place, DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU SUPPORT PLACES WHO JUDGE YOU BY THE WAY YOU LOOK! Nowhere in its website or guide here in the room say that guests with tattoos aren’t allowed to use the onsen. I am walking 350 miles across Japan and I walked 20 miles to get here today with the hopes that I can relax and refresh my body. I have been nothing but respectful my entire trip but I feel completely disrespected and discriminated, I AM NOT A GANG MEMBER, I AM NOT A BAD PERSON, I AM NOT A DANGER TO ANYONE ELSE BECAUSE OF MY TATTOOS. This way of thinking is completely unacceptable and needs to be abolished. I paid my hard earned money to stay here with the idea that I will be able to get some well deserved rest and relaxation for my body after walking over 200 miles so far across Japan being respectful and shedding a positive light on this country. This is not okay, complete waste of my time and money to stay here if I had known I wasn’t able to use the onsen I would have stayed somewhere else and now I feel discriminated against and offended. Shame on this establishment, its management and its ownerships

It was clean, convenient and the adjoining spa facility was amazing. I also appreciated they accommodated late check-out with a small fee.

Access to a multi option onsen

If you are getting a room on the second floor, all guests using the spa walk past your door, and it sounds like they are walking through your room. This goes on until midnight, the later the noisier. The window of the room is level with a freeway ramp. I would expect rooms on other levels to be ok, and perhaps the second floor is reserved for people booking via booking.com

    Room was spacious and comfortable

The hotel was under-going reno works so some facilities were not available - just bad timing!

Absolutely fantastic breakfast, quite spacious room with comfy bed and bath?

Nothing to add, it was great

Walking distance from 日本ガイシホール if you’re going to a concert there (nothing else in the area).

So dirty, stained, and smelly. Used contact lenses stuck to the side. ‘New’ towels reeked of cigarette smoke.

Nice and quiet place. Quite local, the staff were non English speaking. Not complaining

Not much food choices around the property.

Online photos don’t do justice - the free admission to the Onsen Spa next door is a game changer. Overnight parking was only 300¥, which is way too cheap in my opinion.
