    Pros +

    • Great location. The elevator straight to the underground level was especially convenient. The public bath was a wonderful place to relax after a day of travels around Nagoya. The room was not big - like in all Japanese hotels - but very nicely organised, which made it feel bigger. Comfy pijamas and slippers. Coin laundry is available at the hotel, which is great for travellers on longer trips, like us. The staff was super nice. Additional free spa toiletries available at the reception were a nice addition. Good breakfast - although a bit expensive.
    • Great location. Close to everything. The front desk staff are so great. Facility is clean. Breakfast is great.
    • the place has everything you needed, they even have the extra pillow you can pick at the front, and it was super comfy i even wanna buy it. service was perfectly great, if you are looking for a super service staff here you ll love. Onsen is safe, clean and well maintain

    Cons -

    • It was much further away from the Shinkansen platform than I was expecting.
    • Room is rather small just like other hotel room in japan
    • None that I can remember

I liked that there was an entrance from the underground mall that is attached to Nagoya station. It made train travel convenient.

It was much further away from the Shinkansen platform than I was expecting.

Good room for an exceptional price. Was the cheapest accommodation per day of an entire trip yet still managed to be one of the best places to stay of all the other hotels we used.

Convenient location, near subway , eatery, shopping area. Castle view from room

Room is rather small just like other hotel room in japan

I stayed here on Oct 29th then went to Matsumoto. Came back on November 2nd and they kept the belt I had forgotten safe. I really appreciate it. On my first stay I requested for a room on the higher floor. They granted it. On my return, I requested for a lower floor, they also granted it. Very attentive and accommodating. This is actually my third time at Sanco Inn. The very first was in 2023 I think.

    None that I can remember

    The staff and the location

As is the case with most Japanese hotels, it could be difficult to move in a single use room. Choose a double room

I love it it connect with lift from unimall/undergroud train, have nice public bathroom and good breakfast.

    9MaePosted on: 10-2-2025

Front desk helped me with a parcel on arrival. The room is clean. The staff is very nice even though we have language barrier. Breakfast is good.

Room layout is too tight and the distance to walk from the train is longer.

    8MorganPosted on: 9-28-2025

Well managed, decent size room and close to train stations. Breakfast has a good variety.

    8Yuhong C.Posted on: 9-28-2025

The location is convenient, the breakfast is good, and the public bath is a plus.

The room size is good for one person, but for two person could be a bit too tight.

    10KristinePosted on: 9-25-2025

Clean and close to train station. Has a shopping mall underneath.

    Don’t allow tattoos.

    10TongPosted on: 8-20-2025

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect—right in Nagoya Station, with an elevator that takes you straight down to the subway. Super convenient, especially in the summer when you don’t want to walk outside in the heat. The underground area also connects to a shopping mall with plenty of food, clothes, and convenience stores, so you’ve got everything nearby. From my room, I could see Nagoya Castle and other iconic landmarks directly, which made the view extra special. The hotel also has a lot of useful tools and items you can borrow from the front desk, which was really handy.

The only downside is that the hotel itself is on the 8th floor of the building, so every time you go in or out you have to take the elevator up first before actually reaching the lobby. It’s not a big problem, but it can feel a little inconvenient if you’re going in and out often.

    9LiPosted on: 8-5-2025

We enjoyed the onsen and the breakfast. Rooms were clean, very small room. The hotel is on 8th floor, when on ground floor, we have the option of taking the elevator to the under ground mall which lead to the train station.

    9ReythielPosted on: 6-16-2025

I like the breakfast, spa and the view of my room. Staff service was also good. They will try to help in anyway even they hardly speak English.

Only one elevator from the basement (Unimall) to 8th floor (reception), wish they have at least two.

    10CalvinPosted on: 5-29-2025

Convenient location for us. The hotel could be accessed through an underground street connecting to the train station. The spa was nice and clean. We had a comfortable stay.
