the square hotel KANAZAWA

A very nice hotel in a convenient location with spacious and comfortable rooms. A great added value is the public baths on the rooftop. I would definitely recommend it.

Everything was good.

Convenient location.

Breakfast was mediocre. Women’s baths were overcrowded and the dressing room could have been cleaner.

Good clean property with nice rooms and a laundry room too. Location was perfect, only 15 minutes from the train station and next door to the fish market.

The hot spring smelled moldy and had really bright/intense lighting. Otherwise everything was very good.

Location, reception staff (very helpful and polite), availability of free pastries, coffee, tea, and other drinks in the lobby. They also had games and self-select music in the lobby - it was a nice space to hang out, or you could take the food to your room.

Very spacious and comfortable lobby area. Room was large, beds comfy. Enjoyed the onsite onsen. Had a front desk member call our subsequent hotel to resolve an online issue we were having. His English was excellent. In fact most of the staff could communicate with us in English which sure beat my few words in Japanese. This hotel exceeded our expectations!

The room was a decent size. The beds were comfy. The location was great near the market.

We were there on a holiday weekend, so our room rate seemed expensive compared to all of our other hotel choices while in Japan. We did not get breakfast, so can't comment on that.

We had a lovely stay. Very clean and modern rooms. Great location, was walkable to everywhere we needed to go, but particularly close to Omicho Market.

Great location, a block from omicho market and the bus stop. Easy 15min walk from the station, or take the bus. The facility was modern and clean.

Room size was adequate but we had an auto light that went on whenever we entered the hallway.

Air conditioning vent directly over bed made for an uncomfortable sleep.

The property is located close to the market and is conveniently close to the train station (a 10 minute walk). The room was clean and large (in Japan sizes). Breakfast was nice and abundant.

During the morning, breakfast room was crowded.

Location and the restaurant next to the hotel

Lights in the room. There were super bright lights in the room which it was too bright and did not allow me to sleep without a eye mask. Also the light sensor in the room, I was not able to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night without it turning on. Room extremely small

Very nicely, clean, clean decor, great breakfast and spa facilities. The room was spacious and well appointed.

Would have liked a face towel.

We took a rental car from the Kanazawa train station and it was not too far by car. I'm not sure how convenient it would it you were to solely take public transit. The hotel itself is very clean and the room was more spacious that we expected. The location seemed great, it was near the fish market and close to the main part of downtown. The value for the money should also be noted as the room exceeded out expectations in terms of space and layout.

I'm nitpicking, but it would be nice if the one could purchase coffee from the coffee bar in the morning, but they are only open after breakfast.

Amazing location and loved the onsen. The room was also pretty large which was nice. I slept very well!

We had 3 person room, room is big and comfortable. 13th floor has public bath, we enjoyed the facility.

They are very strict about check in time.

Decent central location

We had two rooms. One room was so hot. It was like a sauna at the other room was perfectly fine. We couldn’t figure out no matter what we did how to get the first room cooler. My husband complained about the beds, but that’s pretty much all of Japan.
