The Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel

A bit out of the way, but great van service to the RR station. Quiet neighbor ( which we liked) but not a great walking neighborhood.

Very large rooms with 2 large beds and tatami area (great for families) and wonderful shower/bath rooms. All the extras - generous personal products, exceptional breakfast, shuttle service to the train station, highly attentive staff. Many Japanese features like hotel robes (pants & top) to wear around the property, separate slippers for inside your room and around the property, public mineral baths (male & female), free washer and dryer. Extremely clean in all areas of the hotel.

Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel itself is lovely, but the staff create such a nice friendly atmosphere. They really made it an exceptional experience. The breakfast was great, even as a vegan couple we had some choices (although quite limited amount).

It is a first class hotel in Kanazawa. Room is large, clean, spacious; breakfast is great; and have a large onsen. It also provides shuttle bus to and from the Kanazawa station.

The location is off from the center of town and is a long walk from the Kanazawa station, although the hotel provides shuttle bus and locker services.

Spacious rooms. Very nice amenities. Public bath was really comfortable as well. Location is a little far from the main city. A shuttle is provided almost every hour. The hostess was beyond accommodative. Breakfast was great as well.

The property is beautiful, clean and the indoor garden is beautiful. I like the washing and dryer machine available for guests use. We got a corner family room which is so nice and comfortable. Overall, we like this hotel. The staff is very helpful.The breakfast is one of the best in the whole trip of all the hotels.

Location may be a bit out of town but no problem for us as we drive. Parking lots available in the hotel and is easy.

I was blown away by pretty much everything about this hotel. Gorgeous design, clean, spacious room, delicious breakfast, lovely onsen, friendly staff. The gardens and the displays of regional crafts are just lovely. Can't recommend it enough.

Really spectacular. My parents loved it and it exceeded their expectations. It was their favourite accommodation of the whole trip, with superb onsen and food.

My husband I loved everything about this hotel and we had an amazing stay at Sainoniwa Hotel! We used the free shuttle service from the Kanazawa station after we arrived and to get around. Hotel staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean with tons of little amenities for an extra nice touch. The spa with Onsen was wonderful and the breakfast buffet just incredible. Our stay here was perfect and we wished we had had the time to extend our stay for a few night more.

Breakfast was AMAZING!! Best breakfast I've ever had in Japan. They had everything you could want, and it was delicious. The shuttle service was very nice and convenient. Room was very roomy, beautiful, and accommodated our family of four. The spa baths were lovely and refreshing, everything was just lovely. Very reasonable cost also!

The only issue I had, and I'm hesitant to even mention this, because the stay was otherwise just awesome, was that the floor was a little hard and uncomfortable for sleeping on a futon.

Location quite far from all the touristy places. WiFi slow.
