    Pros +

    • Amazing room. The bed was super comfy and the room itself had its own local network, meaning you could cast onto the pretty big TV it had.You could also go to the nearby affiliated spa to use the big bathrooms for free.
    • Good location for a city walk. Loved the onsen, the downside was it was in a different building which included 5 min walk.
    • Close to some attractions, and close to a bus stop to go Kanazawa station. The hotel is just one street away from Tatemachi shopping street.

    Cons -

    • Relatively far away from the station, though the bus can fix this a bit.
    • Bed could have been more comfy
    • That the onsen is in another APA hotel

Great place, clean and provides all you need within walking distance from main attractions in the city.

While a bit away from the center, it was quite close to several city attractions. The staff was friendly and super helpful. We went out to visit Kenrokuen Garden after the check-out, and left the luggage with the hotel. Due to strong rain, we came back quite wet and they allowed us to return to our old room for a hot shower and changing into dry clothes without any extra cost.

Close to shops and restaurants even some tourist location.

Far from station, the parking fee is paid separately.

    9BiankaPosted on: 12-28-2023

The hotel is located very close to the center of Kanazawa and to the Kenrokuen Gardens. The hotel is clean and looks well-kept.

The rooms are a standard size for Japan so not very big. Breakfast was ok, but would better be a buffet.

Great location. Waking distance to Castle, museum and lots of eateries.

The air-conditioning wasn't working. I spoke to reception, who didn't seem surprised or to care. No air whatsoever was coming out. It was 27c at 6 pm, and the rooms were so tiny that with 2 people, it heated up very quickly. When I asked for another room with air-conditioning that worked, I was told that was not possible. I got offered 2 options instead. Get a refund and book at their sister hotel for an extra $60 a night or a fan. Eventually, we took the fan. We could open the window with a little bit of force, which offered some relief. But we won't be staying there or an APA Hotel again

The area is very interesting and the closeness to Shinjuku station.

The rooms were too small for two adults. There were no closet. There were no room to walk with two suitcases. The bathroom was the smallest I have seen in Japan. The cleaning was awful, the dust after cleaning was stuck on my new suitcase and we had to use a humidifier because the air was awful.

The hotel is conveniently located not far from the main attractions, and you can easily walk around the entire city from there. There are multiple stores around to buy provisions. The staff is very helpful and eager to provide support. Trash is taken out on a daily basis. Just watch out: there are four other APA hotels around, so I had trouble finding the correct one on day one.

The room is super tiny - it was great for me but I have trouble imagining two people in it. It is very warm inside - the AC was off for November (it is a heating season already, despite twenty something degrees Celsius outside), but you can easily open a window so that is a plus. Toiletries are provided, but there is no body balm. No English is spoken.

    Staff are great. Beds comfortable.

Central heating controlled which makes the room temperature very hot. No air conditioning available so sleeping with the window open, which was a little noisy. Location just ok. Prefer if air conditioning was not advertised, as not available.

    9TerinaPosted on: 10-27-2023

We had a good city view from our room. It was pretty standard in terms of amenities. We had v little to do with staff due to the situation of the reception and the lift but when we did it was good.. It did feel a bit cramped but we understand that space is limited by the cost. BBC TV news was great except often there was a voice over translating into Japanese.

The fact it was a bit squashed.

    8VeronikaPosted on: 9-1-2023

I really liked our bed it was so wide and soft, we both slept well. Liked instant coffee as many Japanese hotels have green tea only. The bathroom was nice, a little bit small, but I really like the design and material is made of. Hairdryer was perfect!

I don't like Katamachi during the night, so was aware if it will be noisy in the hotel, but it was really fine! So no problem

The first hotel we booked had water liking issued. They just informed us at the same day we checked-in. They transferred us to another property, near to Ishikawa station. We had lunch buffet, it was ok, But we did not try breakfast and dinner buffet, because it was the same menu (plus only several additional menus) and the cost so high.

The hotel itself is very beautiful and well kept. The hotel is located very well, close to the city center. The staff was really helpful and they even ordered a lot of taxis for us.

The rooms are a bit small, but still a good size for Japanese standard. The breakfast could be improved.
