THE HOTEL SANRAKU KANAZAWA

Beautiful hotel, great location, comfortable rooms. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal.

We had some trouble communicating with front desk staff.

This hotel felt very high end for the price point. The staff was great, the rooms were super comfortable, and the location was great for sightseeing.

Easy access to the train station. Free lockers after check out was a nice amenity!

There were no restaurants around that had availability for us to eat when we arrived in the evening. Our room was tiny, but it was all we needed.

This is truly a five star hotel. If you have never had the experience of a true five star it is a must. Best part is that a real five star hotel is a great experience but in Japan, that puts it over the top. The rooms are not budget or whatever, but this is worth it at least once in a lifetime. Japanese people are so gracious to start with, but in the service industry, and in this top level hotel, they make you feel so special that it has to be experienced.

There is absoluetly nothing I did not like. We were blown away by the degree of service. I did happen to get a 710 square foot suite, as a treat to myself mind you, and thoroughly enjoyed every detail. And that is what it is, the detail, is incredible. They serve food in the “lounge” at most times of the day, which is a culinary experience in itself, with a violin player. And champagne, and help yourself full bar. But the breakfasts are a thing of gourmet delight. I loved my four day stay. And considering what this level of hotel costs anywhere else in the world, it's actually is a great deal.

This hotel was so comfortable and well appointed. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was incredible and the hotel was conveniently located.

Great central garden, decor was very nice. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Rooms were spacious and filled with amenities. Conveniently located within a few minutes walk to Omichi fish market and Kanazawa castle. Umbrellas available to borrow when it was raining. Free shuttle bus to Kanazawa station available though it only runs about once an hour.

Staff very strict about early checkin even when we arrived only 40 minutes before checkin time.

Beautiful property in an excellent location for exploring Kanazawa. Larger rooms than most hotels.

Does not par with a 5 star hotel

No concierge service for a five star hotel is not understandable. They told me the concierge was available from 4:00 pm which is already unacceptable and in my two day stay, never showed up. Restaurant and Bar menu extremely limited and understaffed

The hotel is very clean and the room is bigger than the other. Very nice view from my room. It’s very comfortable for staying in Kanazawa. Close to the Omicho market. It has wonderful seafood.

The room was lovely and had a view of the entry to the park. The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. The location was convenient and within walking distance of all major sites.

Gorgeous hotel & room. The garden view wasn’t really useable as you are looking at other guests rooms as well but it was still nice

They do not have blackouts, even though it’s stated that it’s 5 star hotel. The air conditioning was not working well and they were fixing during midnight when it was supposed to be check and done prior of our arrival. The key did not work well, re-issued many times. The hotel does not have the gym, pool, and etc, which does not qualify this property as 5 star hotel. This was a bit disappointing since you expect Japanese omotenashi and best quality hotel for this price

Loved everything about our stay!- Location was exceptional - within walking distance of all of the primary sites - Geisha District, Samurai District, Kanazawa Castle, - Staff was extremely professional and incredibly helpful and pleasant in every way - The hotel breakfast buffet was among the best I’ve seen in any hotel - well worth the 4,000 yen- Room was comfortable and clean

Nothing….everything was wonderful

A prepaid breakfast at 4000 yen per person might seem expensive but it was the best breakfast/brunch I've had in my life and I'm in my late 50's. Simply endless good choices and 3 days I spent I tried new things each day. The location is convenient and of courses that is one main reason we selected it. Although a shuttle is available to train station a few times a day, a taxi was only 1000 yen each way. Other than that we walked from hotel to the famous garden and main museums and as far as the two chiya districts across the two rivers.

The hotel itself is amazing. The laundry machines do not dry. 3 30 minute cycles in one dryer and 1 30 minute cycle in another and clothes hung damp in room for more than 24 hours with A/C on.

Centrally located, polite and welcoming staff, good food for breakfast.

Very clean, feels like new. Great location near omicho market, castle garden and kenrokuen garden. Staff always pleasant. Beatiful inner garden, but with limited access. On-premise washer/dryer.

No way to enjoy the garden, except maybe when dining at the restaurant?

This is the only option we would pick every time when we’re visiting Kanazawa,no doubt. The location is perfect to people who like a small walk,and 3mins to Mashutagetsu Omicho Market,Kanazawa Castle,and bus stops,tasty breakfast,the building still maintains well like we visited last year. Everything’s great! For people who want to fully enjoy their holidays without annoying tourists and (parents doesn’t care their )noisy kids,this is a great place to stay!90% of the visitors are Japanese and westerners,10% are Taiwanese,South Korean.
