- The breakfast was excellent and made with fresh ingredients. The room was nondescript but the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I was the only foreigner staying in the hotel and the staff were very patient with my lack of Japanese.

- There was a small misunderstanding that caused me to miss breakfast one day. A gentleman staffer told me I could buy my meal ticket at the desk with my card my first day, but a few mornings later a young female staffer said I couldn’t and then went to ask someone about it. As I was waiting the clock hit 9:00 am and it was past breakfast time. I didn’t try to use a card again. This was an understandable mistake and is perhaps my fault for not understanding Japanese.
