    Pros +

    • The room was very comfortable and not too small for one person with one queen bed. It was nice having a tub, and they provided bath salts with the amenities. I opted not to have my room cleaned, since I was only there for two nights, but the next day, they left a basket outside my room with fresh towels and amenities which was a pleasant surprise. Bed was comfortable and shower was great. There were also washer/dryers, vending machine, ice, and microwave available. The hotel is right next to the 21st Century Art Museum, and there are stops for both the right and left loop buses there which was great for getting around. It's also a short walk to Kenrokuen Gardens and Kanazawa Castle.
    • Beautiful, small, and stylist hotel. The room is comfortable and nicely decorated.
    • Great location close to the Castle, museum and the gardens. Very clean and new, no breakfast that I noted. Room was pretty large and comfortable.

    Cons -

    • There didn't seem to be any covenience stores nearby and not very many restaurants super close, so keep that in mind.
    • No, parking lots nearby.
    • One staff member was extremely rude, even aggressive. Complete breakdown of the usual Japanese courtesy. Basically overshadowed all the good things we did in Kanazawa. All the other staff were fine. But the individual in question was the desk clerk during our stay so we could ask for nothing and was tense coming back to the hotel.

Location was excellent. Rooms were small but fairly normal by Japanese standards. Bed was comfortable.

One staff member was extremely rude, even aggressive. Complete breakdown of the usual Japanese courtesy. Basically overshadowed all the good things we did in Kanazawa. All the other staff were fine. But the individual in question was the desk clerk during our stay so we could ask for nothing and was tense coming back to the hotel.

    breakfast good. Location Excellent

The staff was very professional and business like. Quite stiff if I do say so myself.

We found this hotel to be very good in terms of rooms (ours were at the back of the property) being modern, clean, quiet and well maintained. The bathroom was in a separate wet room area to the toilet/basin which kept the toilet area dry. The hotel has a good laundry room (coin operated machines). It is a 30 minute walk from railway station but there are frequent buses (£1 ish fare) which stop near the hotel and there is the option to take taxis. Notwithstanding this, it is a great location for some of the key sights such as the castle, park and a number of museums. The surrounding area also has a great range of restaurants, cafes and shops.

We wanted breakfast at the hotel but there was no availability when we arrived and we were not warned during booking or check in that this could be the case. Having said that we found a good selection of nearby cafes offering breakfast options.

The location was great and in walking distance to everything

We would have liked to be able to eat breakfast in the restaurant that is part of the hotel but were told that we could not

The location and the ambience. They also kindly kept our luggage till we left. After a little nudge they agreed for a slightly earlier checkin.

Rude staff at times, extremely congested rooms for the steep price.

Delicious breakfast and right next to the gardens and castle.

    7NajlaPosted on: 11-10-2024

    Location, room, clean.

Breakfast, only served Japanese style and for beverages no coffe, tea or juice - just a cup of water.

The room was quiet and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. I liked that the toilet and shower were separate rooms.

There was a large structure outside my room window that turned on and off frequently. Maybe another building air conditioner? It was a bit noisy with the window open and I like fresh air so I accepted the annoyance.

    6MichaelPosted on: 9-11-2024

Everything about the room was wonderful.

The older gentleman who checked us in scolded me and treated me absolutely horribly. I've never been so insulted by a hotel staff person. He started screaming at me the moment he saw me and before i could say anything. When I used booking to make the reservation, it didn't stress about the number of occupants per room and when I booked 2 rooms to cover 4 people, I only had my spouse and myself listed for our room and it put 1 person per room. Beware the front desk agent.

    Location and comfortable room.

Needed a hairdryer Staff were indifferent, did not engage with us at all .

Good location next to a park but not far from main shopping centre.v big breakfast nicely served.

Very cramped room with bed right against wall, had to climb in and out at the end, no space to put anything had to keep suitcases in bathroom! Also very dark difficult to find stuff in cluttered room.

    5DianaPosted on: 6-17-2024

Location was great. Rooms were comfortable but lighting was terrible for the dark tones. Laundry was well equipped with combined washer/dryer but takes over 2 hours.

The man at reception was not helpful or friendly. He didn't want us to eat at the hotel restaurant so can't comment on it. A friendly and helpful young man was on reception on our last night and morning thank goodness. Decided to stay a few more days in wonderful Kanazawa so changed hotels.

Very nice location. Near several great buldings, parc and shops. All in walking distance.

Breakfast. There was no choice. At least thexy could offer three different types of breakfast and it could be easy and bring a lot more safisfaction.

    7IngePosted on: 4-23-2024

I chose the location because it was near the gardens, only a five minute walk

The "English Spoken" with the staff was mostly through google translate

Overall it is a decent hotel.

The attendant who staffed the reception around 11:00 on 13 and 14 April was very rude when he found out that our party has one less person. Then he tried to insult us that we could not afford nearby parking as it was “very expensive”.The following morning, when we lost luggage tag, despite paying the ¥1000 fee, he still show his anger and repeatedly asked us to “go away”.
