    • Staff is amazing. So helpful. Peaceful location away from the city. It was like paradise. People there are so friendly. I would definitely recommend to everyone. Beautiful resort.
    • Very spacious villa which was light and airy. Set in pretty grounds.Friendly staff. Able to accommodate a gluten free diet. There was pool, hot tub and gym, but didn’t use them as it was just an overnight stay.
    • Staff were kind.

    Cons -

    • None. Do not read other negative comments. Yes it is little away from from the city but that is call vacation.
    • Decor is a little tired with chipped paint peeing veneer, etc. There were less grounds to walk around than I had expected and the giant tortoises were very elusive!!Paid for a transfer from the airport and the driver was very helpful, but spoke no English. Would’ve liked to have asked questions about the location but wasn’t able to do so.
    • Hm, there were lots of negatives, but one thing was really bad: IT WAS COLD. The hotel is situated in highlands. While other areas of the island just 15 mins drive away were warm and sunny, it was always grey and raining in the hotel. Also it was cold in the evenings. So we tried to use AC for heating. It would not work and we were told that heating mode is disabled. So we thought of a hot bat. But hot water would finish after a few minutes, it was not enough for full bath.Ok, hot shower then. But there was only lukewarm water in the shower...We were left with an electric heater (which doesn't help much) and a fireplace. The fireplace was our saving. We were warm. Until it went out of service... No kidding, something happened to the fireplace, chimney pipe blocked or whatever, the fire went out and we had full room of smoke. We enquired about all this, but could not get a resolution or even an explanation what's wrong. Couple of guys speak decent English there, but most staff don't.Honestly, it was kind of ridiculous. They tried hard to improve the hotel, it can be seen. The staff were nice, kind and helpful. But we were freezing in our room throughout the stay, everything was broken and nothing could be done.

Beautiful, extensive property near the highlands of Santa Cruz. The villas are extremely comfortable and spacious. We were upgraded to stay in a two bedroom villa and it was pure luxury. Beautiful view over the vegetation down to the ocean. Bonus was the massive lava tunnel on the property.

The food at the restaurant was just okay and service was a bit hit or miss. Also, the grounds were landscaped but then overgrown so not sure what the plan was but just ends up looking like someone hasn't mowed the lawn. But these are just nit picky things and overall this was the most luxurious hotel we found in the Galapagos.

Very peaceful , pretty and spacious!

It’s very difficult to get through reception through hotel phones to ask for things or information. But it’s not a big problem so we still recommend the hotel in general

The room was great, clean and comfortable; good menu for dinner and the buffet breakfast was nice; the staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was work being done inside the main dining area, very dusty, so forced to eat outside…so insects a bit bothersome during evening meals. Should have been given reduced rate since full access to the property was limited.

    Nice location.Spacious. private.

Rooms and in particular the mattresses on the beds are in serious need of replacement and renovation. Broken bed springs and creaking bed frames made it impossible to sleep. If renovated this could be a wonderful property.

I was a stunning hotel, staff wanted to help in any way, they did a personalised schedule for me during my stay. Also went out of their way to cater for my vegan diet. Even on their bbq buffet the chef had prepared me a full vegan feast. I had been out there for 5 weeks volunteer working in another island, so this was my treat on my way back home. I was made to feel so special, it was the finishing touch to a special time.

There was nothing I could complain about, I would have to think really hard to come up with something!!! So I can’t fault my experience.

The restaurant service and food were wonderful. Tours arranged by the hotel were spectacular.

The location of the hotel was remote and a $25 cab ride to anywhere! I did not realize it would not be walking distance to town and that it would take a 30 -minute drive to get into town where all the sights, restaurants, shops, etc., are located. Royal Palm is located in the highlands which is very rainy and chilly in August through at least December. A 30- minute drive to the town and you have dry and warm weather! There were plenty of nice hotels in the town of Puerto Ayora. Remote location was the problem with this hotel if you like exploring local area. Also, I requested the sales agent for the hotel to provide airport shuttle service to the hotel on arrival but none was provided.

    Beautiful property.

Terrible breakfast, same runny eggs every single day and no variety whatsoever.

This place is amazing. Staff went above and beyond. My bf proposed to me on our last night and the restaurant staff gave him a hand with the proposal it was amazing. Hotel also helped him decorate our bed with beautiful flowers I have travelled a lot in my life but I have to say the shower in Villa 2 was the most amazing shower I have taken.

everything was amazing. How can anyone complain about paradise.

    10YehudaPosted on: 3-16-2022

The place is great, the surroundings are really beautiful and the villas are convenient and remote from each other. Staff were amazing! Helped us with a lot of things

The location is far from the main part of the island, can be about 20-25min by taxi. There's a 10$ fix price for taxis, so it's not too bad, but you'll probably only do this ride once a day.The beds weren't that comfortable, mattress was too hard for our tasteThe restaurant, while good, was overpriced

Beautiful location and lovely bungalow accomodation. Very quiet and close to nature. Hotel organized a massage service which was excellent

Overcharged for airport transfer and breakfast was nice but way too expensive.

    9christinePosted on: 7-22-2023

    The grounds were beautiful.

It was not close to the port, so if you wanted to explore that area, you would have to take a taxi out there.
