- The location of the property was amazing! Really close to the city center and overseeing a beautiful church. The staff was really polite and accommodating, even after a booking error on my part. The breakfast was great and was table served in a very cozy cafe attached to the hotel.

Cons -
- Even though our stay was amazing, I have a couple of minor points which I'll put here as constructive feedback. In the room there were some signs of minor degradation in some parts of the room, like the shower drainage and the wallpaper. Minor maintenance work would fix all those.Another point would be the state of the common toilets. I used those facilities twice, just before my check-in and after my check-out 2 days later and it looked neglected by the cleaning staff. Also, some degradation in the hardware
- View onto the courtyard.
- We need to address the outdated design. Broken shower doors and drywall behind the mirror. The breakfast from Hasienda is unacceptable. We ended up not eating. It's disappointing and might be better not to offer it at all.

Good location friendly staff
We need to address the outdated design. Broken shower doors and drywall behind the mirror. The breakfast from Hasienda is unacceptable. We ended up not eating. It's disappointing and might be better not to offer it at all.
Thank you. The hotel was very clean and the location is central. Very easy access. The staff was ready to help with everything. Anna Maria helped a lot in the middle of the night.I recommend on this place and will come back in the future.
All good
Best location and service. The staff are super nice and helpful. Should stay for more nights there. We truly enjoyed and appreciate conversations with him. Wish all the best to him!
Front desk was very welcoming, nice and helpful! The room was spacious, clean and 5 minute walk from the center/restaurants
The hotel is located on a open plaza across from the huge Agios Minas Cathedral. (The church bells are silenced at night. They were quite splendid on Sunday morning!) We enjoyed the view from our corner room, which has large windows on both outside walls. There was one regular balcony and one "French" balcony. The room was large with high ceilings. The decor was traditional. There was adequate shelving where we could leave our suitcases open. The bed was comfortable for two people, one of whom tosses and turns at night. The bathroom was good-sized with a fully enclosed shower and plenty of hot water. The receptionists were helpful, allowing us to leave our luggage while we went to a clinic prior to check-in. The room was very clean, but there's only so much housekeepers can do when Maintenance isn't doing their part.On Saturday evening, families were out with their children playing on the plaza. We had one of the best meals in our 23 days in Greece at the Frankly Cafe across the plaza from the Metropole. The next morning we walked around the neighborhood and came across a fascinating artist's studio connected to a mens wear shop. It really was a highlight. We decided to add breakfast, which was very good and a good value for 10 euros each. We were only there for 1 night, just to visit the museum and Knossos and then to the airport the next day. I would stay here again.
Things were not in good repair, e.g., door latch for bathroom was askew, soap dispenser in bathroom wouldn't dispense soap and fell apart when first touched (I fixed it), the lobby WC was neglected. There is no place to hang your damp towel in the bathroom.
We were there only one night before the flight. It was in a lively area of the city and yet we didn't hear the noise from the room. The room was clean and comfortable. Good value for the price.
It was further away from the port than we thought.
Very centric hotel, everything nearby, clean and comfy. Great staff!
The view from the room
Great location - many restaurants, bars and shops around. >10 minute walk to the harbor. Staff was very nice and accommodating, they also organized an airport taxi for us (very practical). Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was at the restaurant next door - many options, very good.
Great room if you get room 501, the top floor suite. Amazing views!!!
Absolutely no WiFi in the 501 Suite
Location and positive staff
Cleanliness could be better in bathroom walls and shower
Perfect for Easter celebrations next door to Ag Mina. Central for rest of Herakleion and movement by buses to other areas. Bus route 1 for airport close by. Rooms superb and all facilities. Good breakfast served next door in Hacienda and very friendly staff.
I didn't mind it maybe others wouldn't like church bell. Shame my window to outside was frosted.
The hotel rooms are spacious and well-appointed, as depicted in the picture, with a loft-like character. The breakfast is excellent, served by the friendly coffee shop Hacienda, located just outside the entrance. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind and relax.
Location on the cathedral square was perfect & our room was overlooking square. Lots of restaurants a short walk away & handy to everything we wanted to see. Front desk staff were super helpful. Fantastic breakfast.
Couldn't fault it. Would definitely choose this hotel again
Excellent location. Very close to cafeterias and stores and important places.
The breakfast was not good. Actually it was not provided by the hotel in a relevant room but it was served in the cafe next door. The portions were controlled and there were only two coffee options.
Excellent location, walk distance from many amenities and stores.
The breakfast was not provided by the hotel, but was actually in collaboration with the cafe next door (Hacienda). It wasn't a buffet style breakfast, and the portions were controlled. The coffee wasn't great and you’re given only two options, so get your coffee and breakfast elsewhere
The view from the balcony was outstanding! Loved it! Breakfast was pretty good. Front desk staff were very nice.
Breakfast was good but coffee choices were limited.
the room was very clean and well prepared for us to stay. Hotels' staff was very polite and ready to help us.
We paid for an outdoor hot tab which was not clean and not hot, but it seems prepeared for us.Many lights broken. For breakfast I think there is room for improvement
