Pros +
- Water park is great, so is the beach and the pools
- Great food, facilities, friendly staff and fun entertainment - a great place to stay
- 3rd time in the resort in Crete and it only gets better and better. New renovation of plaza and pool area are amazing. We stayed at a sea front room which were part of the latest renovations - all worth the upgrade vs the double rooms.
Cons -
- Food wasn’t the best - especially for vegetarians there doesn’t seem to be a lot of variety
- Late October can be chilly but you can always enjoy stunning views in Fodele
- There have clearly been some renovations down by the pool area and bars but much of the resort including the rooms felt very tired and old. In comparison to some of the other 5 star resorts we've been to on the island it was significantly below the standard we had expected. 'All inclusive' wasn't great with very little on offer, charging €10 a day for the mini bar in your room to be refilled with 1 beer and some cheap soft drinks was pretty poor. The family rooms were very tired and old with a very uncomfortable bed. Apart from the restaurant staff we generally didn't find them very helpful and attentive. The evening entertainment stage was awful, we've seen some amazing shows at resorts on the island and this was a poorly made stage, falling apart that looked awful.

Exceptionally good vacation. The hotel is amazing with the water park, private beach, variety of pools, bars, and restaurants- just perfect. We had two rooms on the first line to the beach, we just walked each morning to the hotel’s beach at the morning. Staff were extremely nice and helpful.
The food was good, lots of variety and to a good standard. Food was presented well and the restaurant kept neat and tidy. The staff in the restaurant were helpful and attentive. The location was lovely and had great views. Our children enjoyed the kids club and the staff there were good.

Food was excellent. Great facilities. Very helpful staff. accommodation very nice. the staff are so good and always helpful.
Need support in the swimming poll to assist in moving the pool beds and the umbrellas.
It was a great stay, I enjoyed the food, the facilities and the beach. I will come back here again. Plenty of activities, food choices and cocktails.
It gets very crowded around lunch and dinner times. They have a "late dinner" buffet, but the choices are very (very) limited. The specialty restaurants need to be booked in advance, nothing wrong with that, but you may not be able to get a slot for some of the restaurants. Also, you only are allowed to book every restaurant once, we stayed 10 nights but were told that you need to stay at least 14 nights to be able to book them again.
The pools are very nice, the aqua park is fun and the beach of the complex is ok. There are many restaurants with different cuisines. Good and varied food.
The room was a little dirty, especially the bathroom. Everything else was ok.
It was very nice especially for the children who enjoyed the pool, the video games and the water slides. The staff was very nice, and the room we got was pretty awesome - just beneath the pool and the restaurants and with sea view. The room was cleaned every day and had everything we needed. There was also food all the time, so much so I had to go to the gym every morning just to balance it.
The main restaurant was average, the types of food was very repetitive and not that tasty. The other restaurants were pretty bad and not tasty except the Italian one who was delicious. The toilet smell was not good, but we didn’t bother to tell the staff so we can’t say if they could have fix that. The video games for the kids were pretty expensive and seems not in place with the hotel, they should have given those for free for the kids.
Pleasant atmosphere. Specious room and very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows.Friendly staff that also includes the lifeguards in the water park area Everyone was awesome and took care of the little ones.Although there is a lot of walking between the rooms and the main facilities there is a train as seen in the below photo that is operating from 10am until 21:30 and passing through the road outside the rooms and you can hop on and hop off. Before and after the operating time of the train, you can request a lift to or out of your room, and the employees with golf cars will pick you up.Our special thanks to all the groomer boys and especially Sofoklis, which were top of the top service and always with the smile. These people were our first positive impression of the hotel and also our last will leaving. Keep the good work, boys, and I am sure the hotel management will recognize the value and impact that you have to the customers!!
A lot of stairs due to the stracture of the hotel. People with disabilities or little kids will have to face some difficulties moving around the families.
Accomodation was great, much needed air con was working well and facilities for kids were excellent including water slides. Food was a really high standard especially for an all inclusive hotel.
Only issue was lack of sun beds by the pool so it was a bit of an early morning towel placing contest.
Amazing hotel, great staff, great food, great waterpark
small room
Animation and Kids Club:The animation team was composed of nice individuals, but they lacked the maturity and professionalism you’d expect from a luxury resort. The entertainment felt more suited to a kindergarten than a high-end hotel. As for the Kids Club, it was a letdown. The activities were limited to coloring and watching movies, with no indoor playground or engaging programs. Additionally, the language barrier was an issue with some animators, who struggled with English and didn't effectively supervise the children. Given that the club is located near the beach, the lack of secure supervision made us uncomfortable with leaving our child there.Food and Drink:The food was generally good, but there was a noticeable gap between lunch and dinner with limited options available, which can be a problem for kids who are often hungry after swimming. The drink selection was also quite limited, with only four cocktails, beer, and wine available during the day. Don’t expect to find a broader variety like a Long Island or similar.Guest Relations and Amenities:The guest relations service was a highlight, with staff regularly checking in to ensure our stay was going well. They were also helpful in arranging transportation, such as booking a taxi to the airport.Pool and Beach:If you’re visiting during the high season, be prepared to secure your spot by the pool early—around 7 AM. Otherwise, you may struggle to find a place. Fortunately, the beach area tends to have more available loungers. Many reviews mention the stairs throughout the resort, but this wasn't a major issue for us. A tram runs during the day, and small cars transport guests to their rooms in the evening.
Dining Options:We were disappointed with the pre-booked restaurants, which didn’t offer much more than what you could find at the main buffet. If variety is what you’re after, I’d recommend sticking to the buffet.Overall, while there were some positive aspects, the hotel didn’t fully live up to its 5-star rating, particularly in terms of the kids' activities and overall service quality. With a few improvements, it could offer a much better experience.
Lovely location and views. Lots of food and staff were great.
The main pool got very busy but there were always sunbeds at the smaller pool or on the beach. Our family room could have done with a mirror in both bedrooms and also coat hooks on the wall in both bedrooms. It was odd not having any kind of mirror in one of the rooms. But otherwise very well laid out.
All the facilities, the pools, the sapce. the waterpark is great, the transpotation great, alot of pools so no crowded. always places to sit
There are many types of rooms so after i extended my visit we moved to smaller room, much much smaller.
Wonderful hotel for families. The food was fantastic. Hotel Train available to get to the slides.
Sunloungers at the main pool already had towels on them since 7am but the bathers were vacant for 3 hours - no enforcement of towel removal by staff.
Alles Inklusive ? Heisst hier zudem Vollpension. Drei Zeitfenster zum essen und trinken.Ist dies all Included? Oder wie an anderen Orten, wo man bei alles Inklusive den ganzen Tag was trinken und essen kann? Kann jeder selber entscheiden. Wir kennen alles Inklusive anders.
Everything: staff, food, view, facilities, beach
too many children
Location is great, water park is fun and a great atmosphere in the evening sitting outside and enjoying the sea view. Staff was very pleasant and all in all we had a great time
The food offered at the Greek restaurant could have been better
Perfect for a family vacation. The place is surrounded by hills, creating a breathtaking view! Lots of fun with the water slides, amazing food and breakfast to die for!
Not much to say honestly!
