The pool was very nice

Our first night was terrible. We didn’t have electricity from 10:30pm until 01:00am. The lights were on and we couldn’t shut it down because of the problem with the electricity. We couldn’t call the reception because the phone was off and my husband had to go in the rain to the reception. They said that there is any thing that they can do. We have little kids who were not able to go to sleep. In my parents room the doors were locked but the rain got inside and their room was all wet and full of water on the floor.

The hotel was beautiful, quiet, well equipped, the staff were so so kind and amazing and the food was great. An amazing vacation!

OMGosh...where do I begin? Absolute luxury from beginning to end. The staff immediately made us feel like royalty the minute we got out of our taxi. I was going to take one of our bags but the staff member who greeted us would not hear of it! He took all our luggage by himself and brought it to the luggage room while our room was being prepared. We arrived at 0930 and check in wasn't until 1500. They offered us a cool towel and then accommodated us in the restaurant that served breakfast. Buffet style. It was nothing short of incredible! We had a table with sea view, and it was breathtaking! We then took our places by one of the giant pools overlooking the sea. Each table had a button to order food and drinks to be brought to your umbrella. They called us once the room was ready and they brought us to our room with the golf cart. We had the room with the private pool and it was everything we imagined! They had a table with a cake and champagne because we told them we were celebrating our anniversary and our daughter's HS graduation! We lounged by our private pool till dinner time. There are 4 restaurants. We opted for the buffet restaurant, amazing! Michalis, our server, was exceptional! We then later walked around the resort and then sat down and listened to the live entertainment and had drinks. It was a lovely ending to a great day! The next day we rented a car (there is a car rental kiosk inside the resort!) and visited Heraklion...it takes about an hour so plan accordingly. We left after breakfast (included), so around 0900 and were back a little after 1400. We did not want to stay away from our beautiful resort. We just luxuriated around the pools and our private pool for the rest of the day. The next day we took a shuttle after breakfast to the sister resort across the street to the beach. It's ok but nothing great. We quickly came back to the resort. Aquapark was cool! Spa. A little marketplace in the resort for purchases. A parting gift too!

Nothing! The only thing I would like to mention to management is that the drainage system is a tad faulty in our room. The shower drain was not working properly, so the water spilled outside to our main room. We had to use all our towels to soak it up. But when we asked for more towels, it was instantaneous! Towels appeared like magic! So thoughtful. You can ask for however many towels and they will immediately bring you the towels or anything you might need! The sink could also need a little drainage repair. But minor compared to the whole fantastic experience! We just wanted to mention it so the next lucky guests will not have to use up their towels ?

Everything about this resort is outstanding. The food offerings are fabulous, the spa is top notch, and the pools are amazing. The staff are very welcoming, and the hospitality reflects the tradition of Cretan people. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back.

Loved the beauty of the hotel. Staff were very helpful. Food and variety were superb!

Charged 100 euros again for 10 days which was for environmental fee. It was already charged by booking.com. Also requested 2 single beds on booking,com and had corresponded with hotel re 2 single beds. It was not ready when I arrived and only on day 2 rectified. I was told that I did not request it and then showed confirmation of request. No apologies were made. Housekeeping not very tidy and clean. Floors always dirty even after it was mopped. Bed sheets never changed and when queried was told to put a card on the bed. No ‘card requesting bed change’ was in my room. Shower never cleaned and soap/cream dispensers were empty.

This place is incredible. Beautiful pool, everything feels brand new, great breakfast, spa, service is exceptional.

The beach area is not so perfect and you have to take shuttle/ walk 10 min

Remoteness and tiny man made beach

The hotel was lovely, the design, the cleanliness, there is nothing to complain about but most importantly what made this vacation so beautiful was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, we felt very taken care of! We visited the Spa for some treatments and tried the different restaurants at the premises and from when we arrived till we left, everyone was taking care of us. The cocktails at the pool bar were super yummy and the breakfast buffet has a huge varierty of food from sweet to savoury, from healthy to indulgent. We would come back for sure!

Nothing to complain, but if you want to explore the island you would need a car, the hotel is a bit more secluded, which we loved as it was calm and peaceful. But you can rent a car the hotel!

Slightly misleading divider in the room to split it for families - the divider is not full height of the room so offers no sound barrier once kids have gone to sleep

Everything was fantastic, the staff were kind and friendly but sometimes they forgot you at the restaurant but it is ok.

Very friendly & accomodating staff, great pools infinity type, very good service and a very calm/zen overall feel of the place! A fantastic resort to enjoy your holidays! Really good food with great variety and very nice little touches showing caring both on check in and check out! A really lovely place overall!

I would only enrich the kids club and add more activities as well as inform more families on daily activities for the kids club, so that kids can attend more. Our son spend only a couple of hours just one day. The ladies are great and very good with the kids but it needs elevating to be more relevant.Would also add an entrance closer to the rooms for the kids club because as is it takes effort to get to the current entrance. Also there is space to add more things to entertain especially younger kids plus a wider tent as there is too much sun most of the day

We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Rethymno.

Unfortunately, our dining experience at Platia Restaurants left us feeling disappointed. The food, while visually appealing, was overpriced and the portions were rather small. We were particularly disappointed with the service, which was slow and inattentive. Additionally, the rice pudding we ordered was undercooked and cost a hefty 14 euros. Considering Crete's reputation for delicious and affordable traditional food, our experience at Platia Restaurants was a significant letdown.Additionally, while breakfast offered a decent variety of options, the overall quality was somewhat lacking. For instance, the French toast was disappointing as it didn't appear to be made with toasted bread.

Great hotel, good vibes, food and restaurants were outstanding. Staff incredibly friendly and scenery was beautiful.

Lack of sunbeds by the main pool, only 100 beds for 200+ capacity hotel so don't expect to get a sunbed unless you're up before 9am. This was our only disappointment for the week, otherwise the hotel was great

The pools area is great with 2 big pools that leave enough room for everyone. It’s very modern and new. Great kids club, and nice Spa. Breakfast was also good.

The location is on the main road so you can hear the cars from the room’s balcony and the view is not great as you would expect. You can also hear the other guests in your room not enough privacy and not enough relaxation. Its hard to get from one place to another, there is no natural shade or trees and many of the trails are actually a car roads and there is only one elevator taking you up and down from the heal to the main facilities. Going to the beach is also quite a hassle. Also, the rooms are smaller than in other hotels in the area, and there is no doors between the bathroom to the main room, which we found uncomfortable.

One of the most beautiful hotels I had the pleasure to stay. The rooms, the restaurants, the pool areas are amazing!! This hotel delivers a relaxing and luxurious experience.

Nothing about the hotel. The location is a bit isolated and the beach area (which belongs to the sister hotel Royal Blue) is not great.

Check in process was awful. Reservation system near pool was not working & room cleaning process was a mess.

High quality resort and very friendly staff. Nice and clean room with balcony and fantastic sunset over the ocean. Aqua park for the children and kids club was great. Many pools to choose from and a good gym/spa.Good food and nice restaurants, shops, boutiques, tenniscourt and fotball pitch.

It was hard to get sunbeds even if there was many pools, the service was lacking some days but I’m sure the staff did there best, it was very busy.

Very comfortable luxurious place for the family. Great for children all ages. Our kids are 5 & 3 and loved the children swimming pool, kids club and the kids activities that were planned. Great for parents to relax by the pool, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
