Pros +

  • Check-in and receipt of keys at the airport was fine. The woman working there was quite professional, nice, and answered any questions we had about Hanchi Snoa Boutique Apartments (Boutique Homes Willemstad City Centre).
  • A very pleasant experience overall. The apartment is comfortable and centrally located in Punda, in close proximity to shops, restaurants, the Queen Emma Bridge, markets and more. There's a buzz of city activity: from passing vehicles and passersby, particularly in the day time, and music from a nearby disco at nighttime (at the weekend). There's no microwave in the apartment. So to reheat a meal, you'll need to use the stovetop or the oven. On a safety note, one of the steps in the stairwell is in need of repair. So you've got to watch your step when going up (or down)! I would recommend it for a city stay.

Cons -

  • We stayed in Apt. #1. The facilities were okay, but the floors were dirty, likely because of slat windows that don't close all the way, which means a constant flow of dust, especially from leaf blowing, which starts almost every day between 6:30-7 a.m. Neither that nor outdoor live music and karaoke from nearby bars is conducive to sleep. An alarm from a store was also a constant. The apartment is also quite short on towel racks, and the filthy mattress (blood stains?) from the sofa bed (we assume it was from the sofa bed) was under the mattress of the bed in one of the bedrooms, which made the sofa not useful for sitting, and made the bed wonky, given a smaller mattress under a larger one.
