    • Ivan and his family were extremely welcoming to their island. The room was extremely comfortable and the meals were tasty. we had three different types of activities available in case we were interested. Ivan was very attentive to make sure we were comfortable and we’re having a good time. this island is further away from the mainstream Uros hotels which was very relaxing.
    • Great for minimum 2 nights stay. Especially if you want to enjoy the view.Unique experience.
    • The lodge is well into the lake meaning it's quiet and beautiful. You see and hear birds, waves, nature is all around you. Stunning views. The room was super clean, stylish, cosy, the food 5* incl local dishes. The best part - the hosts! Ivan and his family take care of every guest. He helped me with tours and transportation and shared so much about the life of the Uros people. Overall truly authentic and unique experience. Thank you, Ivan! Will come again...

    Cons -

    • Nothing, all was great.
    • Deluxe King Suite is finished very nicely inside, but quite pricey. The two minuses of this one are: you have no sunset view from the balcony, balcony looks like falling apart, so it's difficult to relax on the outside bed because it's unstable.Food portions are served like in the restaurant, however they are very small so make sure you have some snacks with you if you stay there longer.Place is located beautifully, however if you looking for a quiet and relaxing break, screaming kids running around the tiny island, may disturb you.
    • There were only 2 downsides but they wouldnt stop me from staying there. The room is freezing at night. The provide a small heater and lots of blankets, but prepare to be cold. While we were there they were building 2 new rooms and some construction. Not a big deal just was mid build.

Super stay at the lodge. Ivan and Elvis took great care of us. Activities are included and very interesting. The food is great and well cooked and presented. Very interesting community and history coming back 7000 years ago. Thank you for your hospitality, will definitely recommend!

Uros Titicaca Lodge isn't just your normal hotel/lodge in scenic setting - it's an experience! We stayed for two nights, which included full board for two days and a number of activities to choose from including visiting the local community. Thanks to our host Ivan, we learned about the history of the Uros poeple, and how people have preserved their unique culture and lifestyle. The lodge itself is very comfortable - also in comparison with our homestays/lodges in the area. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the hosts take great care that guests feel warm and comfortable during the cold nights. The food was also delicious and very well prepared. I can only recommend spending a few days at this place if you are looking for a unique experience.

Great experience staying on the lake. The views from the room were amazing. The inside of the room was huge and actually much nicer than I expected. The food cooked by the family was all delicious.

Come as a guest, leave as a friend. That's exactly about this place. My family and I we fall in love with this tiny cosy lodge and would love to return again.First of all - the people. It's heart and soul of the place. The island and the lodge belongs to a one family. Philipe and Ivan are very enthusiastic people, they both can be symbols of hospitality, friendship and support. We been treated like if we been guests of honor, or a family members. Even though that we are not that fluent in Spanish, we had no issues about communication.Secondly lodge itself - after we made a booking we recived all the details about our stay and about the facilities. We also checked the weather forecast and realised that we would stay on a lake. So we been prepared. But even though we hasa warm clothes the owners of the place provided us with a small heater to our room and hot water bottles to make our bed warm. They also have coffee/tea available 24/7 without any limitation. The lodge itself is cute and comfy, very well decorated and maintained. You have panaramic windows to sunset and sunrise side, each house separated from each other, so you can keep your privacy. The rooms have a deck to sit outside during the day or stargaze during the night.Hot shower, clean towels and bed linen, warm blankets are available. Absolutely no surprises or issues with all that. The food - home-style food prepared and served three times a day. We stayed for 2,5 days and never ever the food been repeated. The fish is absolutely amazing, don't know how they cooked it, but even my kids ate everything. The nature - there is not enough words to describe how beautiful this place is. This place is must visit, definitely. But please keep in mind that you "go to the wild nature" it's beautiful, but can be a bit cold, so please, get ready.

Location on the lake was incredible. Food was very accommodating. Included activities were wonderful.

They don’t offer proper heating in the winter especially for families with young children. When I asked for a define bio-ethanol heater, I was told that they some how ran out of ethanol.

This was a once in a lifetime experience. We experienced the lifestyle of a kind wonderful Uros family. We are so glad we chose this floating island and family. It’s an experience we would not have gotten anywhere else. The food was amazing. The house was beautiful and amazing. The host took us on his Reed boat around the lake and fishing. We threw out the net one day and went back the next to collect the fish that was caught. He took us around to different floating islands. The highlight was going to the primary school to pick up the grandkids. We were so well received by the children with hugs. That was so sweet. The only regret is not staying longer. We stayed 2 nights and one full day and a half. That was too short. We requested a personal car to pick us up from the airport. It’s about a 1 1/2 hour drive to the harbor where the host family picked us up on his boat. Took about 30 minutes to get to their floating island. It was late by the time we arrived and they had a lovely dinner ready for us. The host explained the history of the generations and the lifestyle. I hope one day to go back.

It was all super. Nothing negative to write

The views, the cozy room, the quiet

It was very cold! But my room had a little fire that kept me nice and warm.

Ivan is super hospitable, kind, and went above and beyond to suit out needs. The 3 meals never repeat - they are super delicious! About the lodge itself, it’s the only lodge away from the touristy lodge area. Very peaceful and calm. If you don’t want to pull up the window curtain and see a group of fellow tourists/lodges nearby, then pick this one! You will only see ducks, birds, enjoying the nature. And you can still be taken to the touristy lodge area to visit the neighborhood.Overall, suitable for travelers if you want to chill, relax, really take time to learn Uros’s way of living. Not quite suitable for travelers who runs short on time and wants to pack Uros experience in a 3 hour or day trip visit.

Ivan and her family are very welcoming and so open to sharing their culture with everyone. The rooms are super comfy and this is the best place to unwind and enjoy nature!

Ivan and his family were very friendly and welcoming. We were given a private tour around the Uros islands and borrowed their totora boats to row around on our own. They were also very helpful in arranging our pickup in Puno and our transport back to Juliaca airport. The lodge is very isolated from the rest of the Uros islands so it's very peaceful with beautiful undisturbed views on the lake.

The rooms were a little cold at night but the blankets were very thick and warm and the bio-ethanol fire lasted almost all night. The lodge is rather small so there isn't much to do if you're the restless type. But great for some days of relaxing.

We stayed in the big suite room, and just WOW. Can’t recommend more - Very impressive considering on a floating reed Island. Very comfy bed and great bath with a view! 270 views to wake up to in the morning, and watch the sunset.Ivan was also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, he took us all around the local village and gave us a proper tour.Food also was really good! Again much better than expected given the limitations of being on a reed Island.

    Nothing at all

everything was absolutely perfect. they feed us very well. the food was excellent and the room was amazing

hot hotter is an issue but it’s on a island on the middle of the lake.

    10CatharinePosted on: 9-21-2022

Silence, bird life. Rocked to sleep by the waves gently creaking the building as the reed island floated on Lake Titicaca

It was one of the best experiences we had! the place is like a dream: isolated and romantic. The kids of the owners were so nice and funny and the food was absolutely amazing! Although there is no heating in the room we slept very well thanks to an eco friendly heater that they lighted it up while we were having dinner, the views of the sunset and sunrise form the lodge are just breathtaking!

    nothing!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at the lodge! In fact, it was one of our most memorable experiences in Peru. It wasn't just a stay at the hotel - it was an amazing experience that included delicious food, very interesting conversations with Ivan about his family/lifestyle, history of Uros, great tour to other Uros communities, and overall wonderful, relaxing time on the lake Titicaca. Amazing place!

Ivan’s hospitality was great, and the rooms were exceptional too, especially considering their location. The food was really good, and the views were also stunning. Overall, I’d say we had a great time.

We had a wonderful stay. It's such a unique and beautiful place, and fascinating to learn about the Uros from Ivan, who was incredibly helpful, friendly and relaxed. He sorted our pick up from the train station and helped to arrange our trip to Arequipa, even though he got no cut from either. The room was very warm thanks to a bio ethanol heater and plenty of bed covers. A particular highlight was relaxing on the seat outside our room and watching the sun set over the lake. This is a homestay and guests should remember they are sharing a space with the three families that live there. It is also worth recognising the impact that tourism has had on the Uros way of life - it was so interesting to hear about this from Ivan and when you do you will want to make sure you are being as unobtrusive as possible. It may be that the best experience you can have is just to stay at the lodge and relax - enjoy the incredible surroundings and sounds of titicaca. That is what we did and we loved it.
