The lounge, bar area, breakfast and the views of Lake Titicaca.
Missed standing shower in the bathroom.
Fantastic view of Lake Titicaca from our bedroom. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The staff were helpful. The hotel is a 15 - 20 min drive from the centre of Puno but the location overlooking the lake more than makes up for this.
It would have been nice if the eggs at breakfast could be made to order especially given the class of hotel.
Absolute beautiful views the room was very comfortable.
It was a multi type of smell throughout the hotel. It could’ve been the lake, but that was my only complaint.
-big and comfortable room-great location-great staff-teepot in the room
Everything was great
Big room and delicious breakfast!
They sell tours at very high prices. They don’t help you with travel information.
We spent two days at hotel GHL between the travel of Cusco and La Paz. The location is beautiful. The hotel was built 40 years ago. I won’t say that the architecture mingled well with the surrounding but it isn’t much disrupting to the environment. There is a high rise building in Puno which wasn’t very pleasing. The interior was very nice and introduced the lake view to all the space, from room, lobby to restaurant etc. They have an onsite agent who can provide all the services. We had breakfast and dinner both and food was nice too.
Good rooms , perfect location
Cold water we waited hot water more than one hrs and took shower with cold water. And Ac doesn’t work good, we reached comfortable temperature only in a morning
They run the heating system only between 8 PM to 5 AM - it is COLD !
The place is OK - needs renovation but is still OK (except for the fact they save on heating as mentioned above).
Breakfast excellent with a lot of variety. We like the water provided and it’s refillable . Staff is super nice and good value.
It was very clean and had a security check in area
Not much to do right there and the bar closed early.
This was pretty standard hotel style accommodation - mostly utilised by tour groups from our observation. Room was adequate, clean and of reasonable size. The tour arranged by hotel for visiting the islands was enjoyable - but do not bother booking a 'private' tour as you still go on the same boat and to the same places as the small group tour.
The breakfast was a debacle. The breakfast room, staff and food provided was no where near sufficient to cater for the large number of guests. Tables were left uncleared, food unlabelled, no order to how the stations were laid out and impossible to get a cleared table or any food.We ordered a taxi through the hotel from the bus station to collect us for our arrival at 6pm. Despite several messages that we required to be collected from the bus station the hotel sent someone to the train station. We waited, attempted to phone several times and eventually after about an hour we were collected. Recepetion staff just laughed when we voiced our displeasure. As we arrived so late to the hotel we ate at their bar area. It was the most disappointing and expensive burger and drink we have ever had.
Amazing view of lac Titicaca and beautiful grounds. Hotel restaurant was good
It was really cold in common areas and the hotel is quite secluded so no shopping or other restaurants near by
Located on a beautiful piece of land with great views of Lake Titicaca, the room was very spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was great. The lake side room offered spectacular views and the property was well maintained with many flours and interesting wildlife.
A bit far from Puno city center.
Beautiful location on a private peninsula, with a lovely short hike around the hotel. Amazing lake view
Oxygen was brought to the room when requested, although it took quite a while and required multiple reminders. We were the only guests needing a baby highchair at the restaurant, but unfortunately, we had to ask for it every evening at dinner. On one occasion, it arrived so late that we had already finished our meal by the time it was brought.
Location, average breakfast
The hotel is dated, the bedsheets had holes, there was smell of food in the rooms and windows were dirty.
The location is stunning with breathtaking lake views. The rooms are good size - again with stunning views across the lake and comfortable beds and good water pressure. The breakfast buffet was good with a large selection of different breakfast options. The big selling point really is the views - you have them from your room, the restaurant and also bar and lounge area and there is a short trail around the hotel.
We booked a taxi through the front to the meeting point for our transfer to La Paz for 7:00 am. The taxi was not there and after checking with staff they said it was coming. Second time, i was reassured that there was traffic but that it would only take 10 minutes into town (driving by speed limit it takes 15 minutes- we did this trip several times) The taxi finally arrived at 7:17 am and it was an unpleasant ride- speeding to make the departure and without seatbelts. There was also no traffic - we would have passed that in the taxi. For a 5 star hotel, it have a reliable taxi company on hand.We had independantly booked an Uros tour 2 days prior and our tour operator offered to arrange the taxi to the port for us for 7 am and the taxi was there at 7 am on the dot. So it possible.
View amazing Best breakfast in Peru Beds super confortable Jacuzzi billard Lounge super big Kindness of personalLunch late spécially for us and super nice
The views are amazing. The breakfast is great. Being out of town is so much better, with fresh air and cleanliness.
The aerobic equipment was all broken in the gym. When we asked the staff to organise taxis they quoted us much higher rates than we got through a local taxi company.
