    Pros +

    • Polite and helpfull staff members and a grwat view from the room with its full wall window
    • The location. Our window look right out onto a dreamy bay. The hotel itself felt like a bit of the past, beautiful without seeming corporate. The onsen was outside and looked out over the bay. The staff was absolutely exceptional.
    • Amazing view

    Cons -

    • Food options limited. No shuttle to and from station. 2 km walk or 1000 yen in taxi to station
    • Slightly dated.
    • Currently being renovated with scaffolding on the exterior of the building. The food options were also limited as it was a set menu and quite expensive. A quick dash to the local supermarket fixed that.

Excellent sea side view from the room. Not crowded. Outdoor onsen.

    Slightly dated.

Amazing view and good sized room. The Onsen is really good with probably the best view you'll get from a public bath.

There were three of us. Each of us received a ¥2,000 coupon upon arrival. We spent it on food in that region. Also our room was super nice, we had an ocean view huge window and a small balcony. We really enjoyed our stay there.

It was hard for us to find around there restaurants at night. Maybe because we were there during holiday season. And we could only use the coupons at limited shops and restaurants.

The location was great and the scenery from the window of the room was great. The room was very spacious with sofa and the table. also could open the door to go to the little balcony. Since we could open the door with a fly screen, we could enjoy the sound of the waves which was very peaceful. The public bath was great, it's half outside so we could hear the sound of the waves and could see the stars while bathing in the big bath. Very kind staff. Car parking access was excellent. If you are prepared to wake up very early you can see the sunrise.

The mattress of the bed was too hard for us, couldn't relax. The toilet in the room was clean but very old toilet which is a bit hard to flush, sometimes needed to press the flush button few times.

BEAUTIFUL ocean view! The room was massive! Definitely not like a business hotel. Breakfast buffet or dining at the hotel is extra / an add-on. You would have to drive out 10-15mins if you want to eat elsewhere. The facilities is much older so bare in mind for that. Otherwise the staff is nice. They accept credit card payments. I really like their "library" afternoon tea where you can grab a cup of coffee / tea with an ocean view; it's also where you dine for breakfast / dinner area.

The yukata is "one size fits all"; so it may look too big or too small on you. Given that the hotel is old and by the beach, there is a briny, ocean smell in the hallways which can be unpleasant at times when you walk thru the hallways.

Stunning views from the rooms thanks to ceiling to floor windows. Big rooms and bathroom. Very clean.

There was no a la carte menu, just buffet for dinner and a course for breakfast.

Spectacular views and spacious rooms. Great value for money.

Carpets and furniture finishes are getting a bit tired.

    9LynPosted on: 11-18-2024

The view from our bedroom was fantastic. Quiet cozy hotel. Had a public bath too.

Slight smell of cigars along corridor and in the lift.

    7DavidPosted on: 10-17-2024

The facilities were excellent with the ocean view bath a highlight.

The swimming pool was closed due to the summer season being finished at the end of September. We were there early October, it was hot (35 degrees), and a swim would have been good. The swimming pool was one of the attractions of this hotel.

    10JamesPosted on: 8-24-2024

Beautiful view from the room, the beach and water were clean and the swimming pool was great for kids as it’s very shallow.

There are not many dining options nearby, and the food in the hotel is expensive. You need a car to stay here.

    Location and the view

A.C. was not strong enough, so it was really uncomfortable in the morning when the sun is out, it get’s hot in the room

    7GuylainePosted on: 7-8-2024

The view from the bedroom, 8th floor (top floor) was just fantastic.

A bit old fashion. The restaurant is expensive and closes so early that you probably won’t be able to eat there anyway.

Property is stuck in the 1970's. It is clean, but due for refurbishment. The views are wonderful. Beautiful sunrise.Nothing much on the streets as you need to drive to dinner or have it at the hotel.

    8StuartPosted on: 11-16-2023

The location! Even though it’s old and very tired the floor to ceiling windows looking over the water were magnificent. The preset dinner was 10/10!

It was tired looking and out of the way of any eating places

    8DavePosted on: 11-7-2023

Beach location and stunning views from room. Private beach. Japanese food was good

A little tired and outside public areas were a little neglected.

    10ChristinePosted on: 1-8-2021

The view from the floor to ceiling windows in the room was exceptional. At night we were able to clearly see the Big Dipper, Leo and Gemini and the North Star in the sky. I had never seen it so clearly before. During the day, listening to the waves crashing on the rocks below while gazing out at the ocean was especially serene and calming. The onsen shares the same stunning views, as does the restaurant and lounge area, and there is direct access to the concave beach below where you are free to snorkel and swim at your leisure. There is even a free yoga mat rental service available. Would love to come back in the summer!

My only suggestion would be to have drinking water available in the onsen changing room.
