Richmond Hotel Kumamoto Shinshigai

It's at the cross of the 2 main shopping street, and walking distance to Sakuramachi bus terminal where you can take buses to everywhere in Kyushu. Can't complain the location.2 of us has 3 luggages. Opening them in a double room was not a problem.

Their mattress is on the soft side.

The overall lack of a microwave...well ive never seen that before. Right next too 2 7-ELEVENs and like 16 food places is kinda crazy to me.

Great location, convenience to shopping malls and public transportation spots, easy access from the airport and Kumamoto Station for day trip meet. Friendly staff are always there and quickly to response and support all of your needs. Also, a very nice breakfast choices for travelers to sample different style of breakfasts from Kumamoto. You don't need to have the same breakfast everyday, it's an exciting breakfast experience daily, just wish I can stay for more days and sample them all.

The location is fabulous, near to malls, shops and trains.

The room is quite tight for 4 pax.

Accessibility to nearby shopping, restaurants and Kumamoto Castle

The entrance of the hotel is situated in the middle of a shopping street not accessible by car.Nearest car park is also small and often full, though there are many other carpark choices nearby that will require careful manuvering in narrow streets to locate.

Hotel room is quite spacious and we got 2 rooms next to each other near the elevator. The best thing is the location though, inside an Arcade. They also give free facemask and there is coffee machine at the lobby

Nothing, it was everything I wanted

I really like the room, and amenities from the hotel. They even provided the bath cleaner and the bath salt for you. It's small things that make a difference. The room is very clean and comfortable. I also love the location of the hotel, as it's very central and quite easy to go anywhere, find foods, and shopping. Love it!

The room a bit too small, as usual in Japanese hotel. But I am okay and still like this place. <3

Hotel is conveniently located within a shopping arcade, and near a tram station called Karashimacho.

The table shelves in the hotel room were falling off. We had to inform the receptionist and she immediately came up to our room to do some quick, short-term fixing. Will recommend hotel to look into the room furniture.

Location and value for money

Could have put Microwave inside each rooms.Fridge seems to be too old and it's hard to keep anything inside. Wish there was more counter space in restroom.

Great location, a short walk to tram stop and Kumamoto Castle. Lots of food choices.

The location was good as it was near the shopping street and also near the bus terminal. The hotel also provided free amenities including facial masks for guests to use.

Perfect location with shops and restaurants at the doorstep. Room was clean and comfortable, staffs are friendly and helpful.

We only had a short stay. Parking is organised via a nearby parking lot (at a discounted rate). The hotel was very clean and comfortable to stay in and is right on a market shopping street. Staff were fantastic and very helpful.
