OMO5 Kumamoto by Hoshino Resorts

Beautiful hotel overall, from reception to the rooms, everything was well designed. Super clean, shower head pressure was amazing even though the head itself was small. Awesome location, walking distance from the Kumamoto castle and right across the road from a tram stop that takes you to Kumamoto station. A range of shops right at your doorstep

Didn't make the beds when we returned after the first day, only towels were replaced which isn't really considered a room clean. Rooms are small space where you can actually use your suitcase is tiny due to tatami mats taking up most of the floor space, although this is nice it isn't practical.

Amazing view, beautoful room, very clean, staff nice.

Hotel was close to the shops and the castle. It is trendy minimalism type of hotel.

Aircon in the room was terrible, It was blasting cold air and we couldn't adjust to remove the fan function. Couldn't get a good night's sleep.

Great modern design. Love the room but didn’t have option of double bed but interesting design with table in the centre which was very usable. Not ideal for couple Location of hotel very close to Kumamoto castle which was the main highlight of the trip here

Location is excellent

Room clean for consecutive days are not compulsory,only over 3 nights would clean, not suitable for family with kids

Cannot fault OMO5. It seems like a pretty new hotel. Location was superb, right next to pretty much the centre and all shops, stores and Kumamoto Castle. Room was quite spacious and clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Carpark wasn't onsite and you had to pay for parking but it wasn't expensive so not a deal breaker.

Location was perfect. So clean and spacious around the large table for family and high ceiling. Fun to sleep on bunk beds! Convenient to have a washer/dryer in a room.

Contemporary design comfortable bed great location

Room has few amenities. No complimentary coffee or tea or slippers.

Location was very good , walkabout distance to many tourist attractions. Parking was nearby 5 minutes walk. Beds were comfy for family of four, bumped my head a few times beware of low ceiling but it was fun for the kids

Great location, very nice and clean

It was pricy, and the room was kinda tight. Not much space to hang towels

Food, price, location, service provided.

Everything was good but with only 2 elevator if the hotel is packed, you can expect up to 20 minutes of waiting just for the elevator. ( We stayed on 11th floor so stairs not practical with large luggage.

If you are driving, the Affiliated public car park is quite a distance away. No stopping in front of hotel to unload luggages and passengers. You have to park your car first and drag your luggages all the way to the hotel.

Staff were very helpful and be able to communicate in English. Convenient location. Stylish decor and practical layout throughout.

Cafe table for breakfast was not promptly cleaned given the limited seats and high volume of customers in the morning. Limited range of food options. Do not expect too much from their coffee. No English tea available.

Location and design is fantastic

No loading area for luggage and no carpark. Nearest paid carpark is very far. Male receptionist with spectacles is very rude to foreigners. Female young receptionist is very good. Even went down to hotel to help with luggages.

Excellent location next to shopping street. Service staff at check-in very polite and helpful.

No affiliated parking

The location (near to the tram lines and many shops/restaurants), the room which was modern and traditional at the same time, big and functional, the staff, very kind and the bar with the terrace who helped us enjoy a beautiful stay in Kumamoto

Nothing. The breakfast and the cocktail list could be wider but that's all

Not suitable for family with small children, parking is not free and inconvenient.
