Pros +
- Very central spot close to the bus station and also the center of town
- The hotel is about 15 mins away from Kumamoto station. The surrounding area is not so pretty and a little inconvenient in accessing public transportation. The bed sinks into the bedframe. The first staff member who helped me check in was a little rude. But a different staff member was much friendlier!
- Very near the stop for the tram from the station. Near a pleasant and lively area for restaurants and shops.
Cons -
- It feels a little bit tired and could do with an update, but it’s actually under some renovation right now!
- Room for 3 persons is too small for 3 persons but is not matter.
- Far from the main station, but close to most important things in Kumamoto city.

Very near the stop for the tram from the station. Near a pleasant and lively area for restaurants and shops.
Good location, rooms as the standard hotel chains. Renovated old building. Reception staff friendly and helpful.
Room for 3 persons is too small for 3 persons but is not matter.
Bed was comfortable. There was an onsen in the hotel which was a nice surprise. It was small, but sufficient. Easy to access Kumamoto castle and other sights nearby.
Far from the main station, but close to most important things in Kumamoto city.
Comfortable bed. The onsen was small but clean.
There was smoke smell in the room when we came back from onsen. The room is supposed to be non smoking room.
Great location and very nice room. The onsen was cute and cosy. Very walkable distamce from the castle.
A room with three big beds fit our whole family (2 adults and three small children aged 6, 4 & 0). Got a good deal. Just what we wanted for 2 nights.Loved the ice dispenser in the lobby as we stayed during the hottest part of summer. They also have coin laundry machines in the lobby.
No car park so you have to use some of the nearby coin parks or a bigger garage a little bit further down the street, that the hotel has a deal with. But the hotel does provide a map of the options available and the staff was very helpful.Brekrast was ok, but not worth it if you do not like Japanese style breakfast.
I only stayed for a day but the location was in a pretty good spot. Good price too. About a 10 minute ride by tram from Kumamoto station and the stop is only a about a 2-3 minute walk to/from the hotel. A side note, the trams are super convenient for exploring most of Kumamoto and very cheap. A day pass at the tourist center in the station is only 500 yen. The room itself is, like most of my other reviews, standard for a Japanese hotel: A little cramped, private bathroom, mini-fridge, TV, etc. I think a recall a cigarette smell but not sure. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the Castle Town (Sakura no Baba) which is where a lot of great food can be found. Solo traveler recommended.
I'm unsure if most of the rooms were similar to mine but if so, not recommended if you're not solo traveling due to size. If you can't take the smell of cigarettes, probably won't be an enjoyable stay (I think this one had the smell but I don't remember TBH). This wasn't a negative for me, but I can see it being one if you rent car as there is no parking spots to use.
Staff was very nice a few of them understand a bit of English.
It’s a bit of a walk to get down to the strip but personally I don’t mind it I just didn’t like having to keep walking back and forth every time I got hungry to wanted to buy some snacks.
Good hotel, convenient location and easy access from Kumamoto station. The room was clean, with every facilities necessary for a short stay, like we did.
Only The hotel location is good.
I stayed 16 nights. The room size is too small and no place for baggage. I asked for a bowl to eat Indian ready food, they did not provide anything. Whatever you ask their answer is only NO. Worst service. Everyday the same breakfast, you will get bored. No restaurant for dinner. Recommended for Just 1 night staying is good. Only on the 1st day they will give you the water bottle after that no water bottle. For a long stay not suitable for foreigners. Because they are not customer friendly. Like just a business mind.
The staff was extraordinary helpful. I had left my camera up on the bus at Mount Aso and they helped me call the bus company and in the end get it back.
The room felt a bit worn down, but it was clean.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had left my camera on the shuttle bus at mount Aso and they helped me call the bus company so I could go and get it back. 10/10!
The room was clean. But felt quite worn down.
・Location is great and very close to Kumamoto Sakura machi and you can get there on foot around 10 min.・The staff is so welcoming and nice・It has public bath for woman and man on 4F which is great. The woman bath not so big but can fit 2-3 people.
The room that I booked was double bad but it was so narrow and almost no space to put big luggage inside the room.If you travel with big suitcases, please choose another room instead.
Amenities and the location were great. The hotel also had a spa although I didn't use it.
Wifi was horribly slow :( I couldn't even make a video call.
Great location on a quiet side street, only 5 minutes walk from a large shopping area.
The bed was just a little too soft. My room (302) smelt of cooking. I think it was above the kitchen !
Location is good, very close to Sakuramachi which have shops, restaurants and bus terminus; A few minutes walk to Shimotori Shotengai where you could find more shops and restaurants.Normal APA standard with comfy bed and room.
No nightstand or suitable holder near bed for charging phone at night or placing glasses/watches.
It was close to a few nice parks, a shopping mall and Kumamoto castle. The staff was friendly and spoke some English.
The room was tiny, the TV would always automatically turn on when entering the room. Lots of noise from cars and slamming doors.
Breakfast was okay, I am a vegetarian so couldn't get lots of options which I off course expected.
There was no water refilling facility at the hotel. Hotel should work on giving drinkable water to the customers everyday.
