ANA Crowne Plaza Kumamoto New Sky By IHG

During our trip in Japan, we stayed at four hotels, and this was by far the best. The staff are very polite, kind and they go beyond your expectation to help customers. Service in Japan are generally great, but this place is exceptional.

Nothing major, but It would be nice if there was a free shuttle service in the early afternoon.

The ease of in and out of the hotel, good self-parking structure next to it, and fairly easy to visit the Kumamoto castle.

The staff gave my friend couple, a IHG member, a super nice suit with breakfast and lounge privileges, but after they got into the suit, the front desk staff rushed up and moved them to a regular room with all upgrades taken away.

A wonderful hotel! Spacious rooms, a beautiful view overlooking the river, and just 2 tram stops from the train station. The staff was great, and we enjoyed our time there very much.

My only suggestion would be to offer streaming channels such as Netflix. Nothing wrong with Japanese game shows, mind you, but for foreign guests, some English offerings would be nice.

The wifi did not work well. It routinely would go out and when it was functional it was very weak so you could not use it

The tram line right outside of the door was very convenient for getting to many of the sights to see. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. The hotel itself was very modern, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast selection was amazing, everything you could want. We would stay here again.

Too noisy from room don't know if it's beside or above. The tram in the morning wakes you up.

Location was pretty good. We can walk from Kumamoto station, or from the tram Gionbashi station. Also, the reception desk staff can converse well in english and i find that really helpful. The room is very spacious.

Our room was very stuffy.... we had to ask for an additional fan in both rooms. The air conditioner (giving hot air) is centrally controlled hence we could not control the temperature.

This is a rather premium hotel at a reasonable pricing for room rates.Breakfast is not bad. Do consider to buy the vouchers at the front desk for JPY2200 in advance, otherwise, the breakfast is JPY2800 per diner.

Not that I can think of. The only one is the location. About 15 minute walk from the rail station. Can be a challenge if you have big luggage or when it's raining.

Excellent location, convenient for trams. Good accessible parking and spacious , comfortable room.

Near the shopping area, and they have the Kumamon decor room for kids.

It’s in a very nice area only about a 10 minute walk from main station. Easy to get the street car to move around town.

A great hotel close to tram stop, and within walking distance of the main train station (10 mins), which feels like a European 4 star hotel. Had a big spacious room on a high floor. Good, abundant breakfast. There is a limousine bus to the airport which stops directly at the hotel.

great location, near kumamoto train station and the shopping arcade area plus all the sight seeing around Kumamoto to see the castle, shrines and temples. Open the window for a great view of the canal which is running through the city. it's a typical business hotel.

The breakfast was quite expensive but it's a buffet - maybe offer smaller sets to reduced pricing. You would be better off getting meal outside the hotel

The room is large and comfortable. Toilet and bathroom are good. Breakfast is great with my choices..

Facilities such as TV May need to upgrade. If there is laundry provision, it would be great. I saw from some articles that pick up service from Kumamoto station is available, but now doesn’t.

Face to front river view feel so Good ~!! Facing the river, it is quiet and comfortable. It is very convenient to run along the river in the morning.

The hotel is easy to locate. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean.

No onsen.
