Grande Hotel Petrópolis

Location.

We had to wait 3 hours for the room. And I need to left one day earlier but they charge me anyway.

Upgraded to a room with a view. Clean and beautiful on top floor.

Perfect. Could not have received a better room.

Small rooms, tiny sauna and breakfast room. All in an 6 floor, 70+ rooms. Nonsense.

Gym is open only from 9am and the treadmill wasn’t working. Short room for breakfast. Narrow space between table that make this experience stressful and uncomfortable.

This is a great hotel. And at a very fair price. The location is perfect, it's spotlessly clean, the staff is wonderful, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Highly recommended!

Small detail, but the parking garage is very far away, so when the valley goes to get the car, it takes about 10 or 15 minutes to bring it back. But just a small detail, we loved it here!

This is a beautiful hotel with a rich history! The lady who checked us in late in the evening was incredibly friendly, helpful, and spoke perfect English, which is quite rare in Brazil. The rest of the staff was equally professional and kind throughout our stay.The room was very spacious—no view, but super comfy. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked quickly. However, the only downside was that the hot water in the shower took forever to flow.Breakfast was delicious, though it could have offered more vegetarian options. Overall, it was a fantastic experience right in the heart of the city!

This hotel was a last-minute decision because of the fiasco at our original reservation in Petropolis.We were so happy we decided to move to this place, otherwise, our trip to Petropolis would have been a total disaster.

Everything that the previous location was not. This hotel was a godsend and we definitely would return to this hotel if a trip to Petropolis is in our future.The breakfast alone would have been a reason to return to this place.

Beautiful hotel from the 1930s, vintage entrance hall, clean room, great location.

Breakfast was ok but the orange juice was really watery and tasteless. Pão de queijo wasn´t great either.

Best location in town, in front of the Imperial Palace. Charm of an historic building fully renovated hotel with modern amenities. Valet parking. Great breakfast

I asked for a very quiet room and we were given a room near the elevator where we could hear every guest arriving at night. We arrived aerlier at 12.30 and were told that our room would be ready in half an hour. we therefore went for a short walk. When returning at 13.10 (after 40 minutes) the same young lady told us in rather unfriendly way that check in was after 14.00, I.e. after 1.5 hours from our arrival...she could have told us at the beginning...

property was clean and the door staff were great

internet did not work in the rooms. staff kept saying they were working on it when clearly they weren’t. signal awesome throughout the hotel until you get inside your room.

as a disabled person, the room was very accessible and clean. But they made me pay extra when I arrived , because the accessible room it’s only the one for 3 person, even when you are one or two guests.

Great breakfast! Always being replenished with fresh food. Varied buffet with lots to choose from. Amazingly quiet room, clean and spacious too.

The sheets were so rough, so scratchy, that I felt like I was dragging beach sand to bed every night. Horrible!
