    Pros +

    • Very nice place room a little small nice Breakfast would return
    • Great local vibe at a hotel that supports the community. Service was exceptional, from manager to waitress at Fusion restaurant (charming and knowledgeable with great recommendations) to masseuse.
    • Good location for an overnight stay. Delicious dinner at Heaven Restaurant.

    Cons -

    • Hotel was unable to fulfill the agreed upgrade to the Retreat because of water damage. Manager was very apologetic - she bought us dinner while she worked out upgraded rooms at Heaven. All's well that ends well.
    • I didn’t like that the exterior door to our area was unlocked. And the sliding door (I was on the 1st floor) was very tough to lock.
    • My room in the residence was very small in spite of it being an upgrade. There was really nowhere to sit in the room other than on the bed and no common area other than the restaurant. I felt a bit trapped. I woke up to a banging noise every night for 5 nights. I asked if someone could resolve it but with no success. On the 4th day, I was offered a room change (which I didn’t accept since I was checking out the next day). I think it may have been pipes in the walls but I’m not certain.while the room was very clean it was not comfortable.

The staff were friendly and eager to assist. The onsite restaurant was excellent with a broad variety of choices and first rate service. The included breakfast was a bonus as was the swimming pool. Located in a lovely neighbourhood.

Easy to find, clean and kind staff It’s part of 3 properties next to eahxother

Mosquitoes, we had nets in our room but so many at night

Staff are excellent. Location is quiet and lovely. Food very good. Very clean. Value was outstanding.

Power was a bit glitchy in the room and some furnishings including plumbing getting dated.

Our first stay was amazing and then......

We planned to stay here twice on our Rwanda trip. The first visit was excellent and we couldn’t wait to go back for our final night in Rwanda. Unfortunately, though after an excellent first stay the hotel cancelled our last night the day before we returned to Kigali having already the confirmed the booking the week before as I had booked it 7 months previously. No idea how they determined they had double booked us given how long ago we booked it.The late cancellation meant we had to find an alternative hotel and this was at 6am in the morning as we were in Akagera and hadn’t seen the message sent the afternoon before our stay. This meant I had to miss part of my morning safari drive because I had to then spend time trying to find another accommodation. The hotel offered no apology until I complained and eventually sent us message saying they had found another hotel for us that we could go to if we want. A hotel that was more expensive and more so than the price Heaven told us they secured it for. This meant I was $40 down and lost a morning of my safari. They didn’t offer any mediation i.e. a discount in the restaurant as a reparation given this was completely their fault. They also didn’t appear to care less about the situation. Really disappointing compared with the level of service, how friendly and helpful every other person we met in Rwanda offered.Really disappointed with them given how good our first stay the week before was.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Bed was extremely clean and comfortable.

    8JessicaPosted on: 9-21-2025

It has the comforts of home the staff are friendly and we’re really nice for our honeymoon

Everything is triple the price of everything else in Rwanda. They the hotel is perceived as a luxury American hotel. The restaurant it costs 18 American dollars for a cocktail. That’s more than it costs at home. They attempt to make extra money by selling their books in the room. If you want a genuine experience of Rwanda I’d stay somewhere else. Also if they are going to offer a free massage it might be better to have people boom them when they book the hotel because they book up quickly if your only there for one night

    The food and free massaage

    The room is little

    10AshleyPosted on: 7-28-2025

It’s tucked away on a quiet street, still in the city and it’s quiet.

The extras are very expensive, even by American standards.

Stayed at the retreat which is next to the boutique hotel. The retreat was worth every penny. Excellent rooms, food, and service. Thank you Shema and Kevine for making my stay wonderful.

Nothing - Heaven retreat really is Heaven

It was located on a pretty and quiet street.

The room was overpriced for what you got. The mattress was rock hard. I was in a Superior Queen room, and it was very small. There was no luggage rack, so you had to open your suitcase on floor and there was no room to maneuver around. There was also no bedside lamp. The water in the sink only got warm if you ran the shower until it was hot first. Lastly, to get to breakfast, you had to exit the hotel and walk up a steep street.

    Clean, quiet, great amenities.

Comfortable beautiful property with helpful friendly staff. Great food and very reasonable price

I wish the boutique shop had more items. The music for the Zumba class was very loud. It would be better if it wasn’t in the morning

The Heaven Boutique located in a quiet location and with connection to their chain of The Retreat hotel and Fusion restaurant. The room I got was a bit small with basic facilities and a balcony. Food at Fusion was good and their services were nice too.

The room I stayed was next to the area where their staff have access to, where can get a bit noisy in the morning when they are there with talking and passing by. So the privacy can be a problem. Then it was not so convinient for the clients at Boutique to walk for every meal or services to the Retreat and Fusion, where one needs to go through public road all the time. Also, they are not providing any bottled water in the room, which undertandably for the proteciton of environment. However, considiering the overall hygiene and health situation in the Continent, I would suggest to keep the option of complemtary bottled water available.

Breakfast, the gym, the free massage (if it's offered to you). The location. The yoga. Will visit again.

The upgraded room was more worn than the normal room. Lighting in the room could be improved. Minor things.

    4BogdanPosted on: 3-11-2025

    Location and food very good.

Room smells like sewer because of the toilet. Wardrobe doors don’t close. Mosquito net from my window was broken….useless if I wanted to open my window and get some air. Kettle was broken and I got electrocuted when I plugged it in because the wires were out in the open. Garden view room means starring at a wall half covered in something green. Mini fridge noise is awful…you have to unplug it during the night to get some sleep

    8EmilyPosted on: 3-6-2025

The bed was very comfortable with great pillows and mosquito net. The bathroom was very clean and the shower had warm water and good pressure. I loved the balcony and the coffee/tea/biscuits provided in the room. Room service was quick and delicious.

A little over priced, especially room service. The room itself wasn’t big so if I had a bigger suitcase it would have been very crammed (I just had a carry on)
