5 Swiss Hotel

I didn?t actually get to stay here. I made the reservation, showed up, and they told me they were fully booked and had forgotten to update the site.

The hotel was centrally located. The airport driver was kind and helped me get some supplies for my trip.

The staff and food were great! An excellent value - breakfast and laundry service included!

Great location, quiet area, close to town and attractions. VERY comfortable bed, rooms and amenities.

The early closing of the restaurant on Sunday, but I do understand the staff needed rest time off.

The staff is so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I stayed her last year and they remembered me.

I would like a pool and more gym equipment.

Quite location, friendly staff and lovely meals

In the room I checked in, the shower tray is shallow and water spills on the main floor; the shower room is closed up and the extractor does not fully work, I had to leave the door open to let fresh air in.

Lovely included breakfast with fresh fruit, option to make an omelet, and any coffee to your liking.They also offer included laundry service with pick up and drop off from your room on the same day. This was a huge help when traveling!

Breakfast was included, which was a very nice way to start the day. The staff was also very warm, welcoming, and very helpful. Transport to and from Kigali airport was also arranged by the staff and made the stay much more convenient. The room was also very clean and comfortable.

Traffic noise was a little loud at times, but that’s not something 5 Swiss can control, so I can’t fault them for that.

The staff was exceptional! They were extremely friendly and took very good care of me. I considered going to a larger chain because it was my first time in Kigali and I was concerned about safety and that I wouldn’t get the service I’d receive from a brand such as Marriott or Hilton. They far more than exceeded my expectations. I feel I enjoy this experience much more than I generally enjoy my experience at larger brands. The personal touch I received was so welcoming and the location was phenomenal. I could walk everywhere and be right in the midst of all the action.

I love the convenience, the location and the staff. Also, they offered a lot of services that big brands don’t offer such as free laundry, and I learned when I compared the price of their shuttle to and from the airport that they were cheaper than the big brands.

Great location in city center, clean hotel, wonderfully helpful and polite staff, overall a very comfortable stay! The laundry service included in the hotel room tariff is a very nice touch!

Breakfast can be a bit better, especially if it's presentation can be improved.

I slipped on the floor while the maid was cleaning with soapy water. The manager immediately reacted by purchasing signs to warn guests about slippery floors.

Perfect restaurant and friendly personal

Back in Uganda a T shirt was missing and 6000 Rwandan francs. The small suitcase was left in the room. The shirt was definitely packed. The small suitcase was not secured so it is impossible to blame the hotel.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, particularly Nadine. We really enjoyed the garden setting around the rooms and restaurant. Very chilled vibes and extremely good value for money.

Nothing to complain about

I loved this little hotel! It was so charming and comfortable, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They accommodated my weird arrival and leaving times, and did my laundry. There was heaps of choice a breakfast, including plenty of fresh fruit. I had most of my evening meals there also and although the menu was limited (it is a small hotel after all), the food was excellent. There was a fridge in the room and AC, and a nice strong shower with great big fluffy white towels. I adored watching the African sun rise above Kigali from my balcony, and watching the many different birds in the vegetation all around (and this hotel clearly has someone with a serious plant addiction on the staff!). Overall, an absolute oasis for anyone wanting to get away from the large faceless multinational hotel chains elsewhere in the city.

A kettle to make tea in the room would have been nice. I wasn't sure I liked the balcony doors being left ajar by the cleaners during the day, even if the bug screen was closed (there weren't many bugs). There is a slightly busy road (depending on the time of day) to cross if you're walking to the hotel, but it is easy to take a motorbike or car taxi.

Very friendly staff and.a nice location very quite and 5 minutes walk until CBD.. The restaurant is downstairs in a very nice and green garden. Room was very clean, but a little outdated. WIFI was ok, even not the fastest.

Price, at least via Booking is too high for the given value. Breakfast could have a little more variation, but is still ok.

We loved this hotel. The staff was exceptional. The breakfast was excellent. They have an airport shuttle for a fee-always nice in a big city. The location is perfect. It is close to the Millie Collines hotel and the heaven/fusion restaurant.

It is very homely and the staff (receptionists, housekeepers, waitresses and waiter, chef, driver) are kind and friendly. The food was a 10/10! They are very flexible when you need to change rooms or check out a bit later. I enjoyed my stay and I'll definitely be back!
