Super Hotel Matsuyama

The bed was really comfortable. Breakfast and free drink bar in the evening was great!

The room was quite small.

They offer on site parking, clean facilities, breakfast, and welcome drinks in the evening. The value for the price is tremendous if you are willing to walk a bit to the main attractions.

It is a bit of a walk to the castle and surrounding shopping but not bad at all.

Typical business hotel in Japan, like toyoko inn.Excellent breakfast. Everyday they changed the main dish of breakfast. Many options are available. You can have bread, rice, salad, and many Japanese style options such as Ochazuke, Misosoup..They operate welcome bar during 6 pm to 9 pm. Not that many options of great alcohols but you can rest there instead of tiny rooms during night time.Wifi was fast enough to watch Youtube video or Netflix.All staffs were kind and tried to help us. (Especially night time gentleman staff was the best)Location was in between main street of the city and Dogo hot spring. We were able to there on foot (around less than 1.5 km each).Cost effective way to stay in Matsuyama, some people who need breakfast during the trip.

Room was so tiny, but everything was in there. Bidet, small bath, hair dryer, and fridge.

It is conveniently located just a 5-10 minute drive from Dogo Onsen. The breakfast is simple and not very varied, but even though I usually don’t eat breakfast, I was able to enjoy it.

It is located near Dogo Onsen, and since it was the weekend, the room was extremely small compared to other accommodations in small towns I’ve seen before. I chose the traditional Japanese-style room, but there wasn’t enough space to open two suitcases, making it an uncomfortable stay. However, the breakfast the next day was surprisingly good considering the facilities, so it was okay.

Typical business hotel suited to jap a nese businessmen but not foreign tourists. Small room, tiny bathroom, Japanese breakie. About 25 min walk from the JR station. Not a lot of English spoken but the staff were great

I like that this hotel chain has free breakfast.The staff was also very friendly and tried to communicate with hands and feet. Apparently nobody speaks English. I speak a bit Japanese though so it wasn’t a problem. They tried to communicate as best as they could and that’s what matters.

I‘m not sure what it was but there was another electronic device next to the sitcom that made sounds constantly. That was a bit annoying especially when I wanted to sleep.

Free breakfast, good value. Parking was only 550y/night, very reasonable.

I think the food was exceptional on my first stay here but this time I thought it was not that good. There was no explanation given to me about the room especially the toiletries that you have to pick from the front desk while checking in. Also that you can choose your pillow as well. Nothing was said?

Cleanliness and the mountain range view

Service with a smile. That was definitely lacking. The front desk staff was not very welcoming at all. Some dishes ran out at the buffet breakfast.

its location was good to get to a few places as I walked.

The room was very small and the desk chair was a stool and uncomfortable to sit on. The pillow was rock hard however, there were extra pillows available in the lobby. In the other Super Hotels I have stayed, they all had a public Bath. This one didnt have a bath except in the room. I felt that this is an old business hotel that was bought by Super Hotel to expand their reach.

the staff were very polite and tried to help as much as possible taking into consideration that they didn't speak English.

the fact that I arrived at hotel at 1230 and had to wait till 1500 to check in. if rooms are ready and available I don't see why someone has to wait till check in time

It was a nice hotel. We were there for only one night, but it was pretty much exactly what we expected. The staff were friendly and we're happy to help us when needed.
