Hotel Kajiwara

The hotel was was just walking distance from the station and very convenient because it's near to some groceries and convenience stores. The room I stayed was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was a great experience!

The rooms in the new wings were new and modern. Like the ease of carparking and the location. Plenty of kombini nearby.

Right in front of the station, close to a tram stop, walking distance to the castle park (abour 15min), comfortable bed, general hotel room with the usual equipment.

Staff were extremely helpful with our queries despite the language barrier. Room design is very thoughtful with little alcoves available to place phones and other small items.

No instructions on how to use the aircon. We figured it out after awhile but the aircon was not able to keep us comfortably warm nonetheless.

Lovely room, plenty of space for luggage & very modern. We stayed in building 2.Laundry was a bonus & quick too. Good location, easy walk to Castle & downtown. Tram stop to Doso Onsen just ip the road. Would stay here again. Breakfast was good, not too much & staff were all Lovely.

Nothing not to like.

A clean bed, breakfast and basic amenities expected of a standard Japanese business hotel. I had to travel in and out of Matsuyama with heavy luggage so the proximity to the JR station is very much appreciated.

My room barely met basic cleaning standards - I do not mean it wasn't cleaned (daily housekeeping did their work and sheets and towels were changed promptly on request)The room itself has a moisture problem and there are black and white mold growing in the corners. The ventilator also doesn't seem to work well and the unit bath stays wet for a very long time. The carpet also feels wet and I had to keep my socks on.

Great location and staff.

The walls/doors are thin so I could hear my neighbour talk on the phone nearly as if he was next to me.

The staffs understand English a little bit.Laundry facility is very convenient to use, all is automated, no need to buy detergent.While the building is old, the essential facilities such as toilet is modern.

It was so close to main JR Matsuyama station, 5 min on foot. Rooms were clean.

Great price, location, staff and facilities

When I went to hotel, the receptionist women knew who was I? I was very surprised and she is very nice and professional. It had the welcome drink. Also, it has three washing machines and dryers. I was happy that there are chairs in the washing room for waiting people. The rooms are large and clean. The Wi-Fi is very fast. It just walk 5mins from JR station. It just walk 5mins to public spa. I strongly recommend this hotel for everyone

A spotless hotel with a decent-sized room (by Japanese standards) and very close to Matsuyama Station. The price was quite low but the quality was high. Would stay again.

We liked everything.

This hotel is in a very convenient location, close to several public transportation options. The hotel room was comfortable and clean, although perhaps not very stylish compared to other business hotel chains (I didn't mind though). Staff was friendly. Luggage delivery service and temporary luggage storage was available. Cleaning services are opt-in (but clean towels are delivered every day).

Be mindful that the staff mainly speaks Japanese, so it can be a bit difficult to ask questions if you don't speak Japanese.Furthermore, I got a bit sick after eating the breakfast (could have been a coincidence, but there were not many people having breakfast, so maybe the food had been sitting there for a while).

Comfortable hotel close to the railway station.Breakfast is Japanese style which we enjoyed and had lots of variety.Room was comfortable but small however that was what we were expecting.Staff were very helpful.15 minute walk to the city centre

Clean, cozy room. Kettle and mug provided in the room, and the included breakfast was very good, worth the extra cost. It’s close to the station, and not too far from Matsuyama castle.

Not really a big deal, but the laundry charge was more expensive than other places I’ve stayed at in Japan.

Perfect for solo travelling, close to the train station. They called a taxi for me to the airport.

One block from JR Matsuyama station & Iyoden station. Stayed in the new building - clean & quiet room.

The room is a bit small (the usual business hotel size in Japan) but has all the essentials.
