Hotel Aisul Matsuyama

Everything. It’s very clean and spacious enough. The check in and check out time is great too. It’s literally few minutes walk from Jr Matsuyama station. I loved turning about this hotel. I will stay here again next time I come back to Ehime.

The staff didn't speak any English. The hotel seems more interested in turning a profit than in providing hospitality. Breakfast is inordinately priced.

Close to station

Could not gather in common area to eat or drink. No coffee, tea etc in lobby. Staff not friendly or welcoming.

Nice hotel and easily acessible. Lobby actually very swanky and rooms were very clean

Stayed in the hotel as part of a solo walking henro trip. Everything was good with this hotel stay- room ws fine, clean and comfortable. Location near the Matsyama JR station was convinient. As with other hotels had to wait till the checkin time so was able to leave my backpack and walk around the area. When I returned they have already moved my backpack to the room (nice).

All was good as expected - no bad surprises

I am grateful to Tanaka san and Iseki san for their invaluable assistance in helping me to retrieve my lost item. They contacted the related department, explained my situation that I was unable to return and claim the item in person and arranged takkubin to send it to my last accommodation.It was a great stay with great hospitality!Highly recommended with the convenience location

Large rooms. My room had a sofa. Excellent laundry. Convenient to the station

Location is great. It is about a block from the JR train station and local train (Iyotetsu). The facilities were clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Considering this is a small city that probably doesn't get a lot of foreign tourists, there was some English language support.

Oddly, the room was on the warm side (stretch of warm weather before I arrived?) and the air conditioning had been turned off, so turning on the AC just turned on the heater. Next, I tried to open the windows, but the windows were jammed so I had to ask staff for assistance (which they provided with a smile). The facilities are on the old side, but still in good shape. Still, it could use some upgrading such as increasing the number of electrical sockets, moving to a digital key.

Well located and clean place. The staff is very kind.

Plus points:- it’s located very near the JR station.- staff were nice and professional.- managed to open 2 full sized (28inch) luggages in the room after some manoeuvring - there was a pillow gallery (where you can go choose extra pillows)! The single most exciting thing of this ancient establishment.

- the entire hotel itself is an antique, with round knob radio switches (not sure if it even works anymore). The decor, from the duvet cover, all the way to the furniture, electrical and bathroom fittings were all from the 1970s that haven’t been changed till to-date.- no electrical outlets around the bed area (and of course none of the available outlets have usb charging outlets either).- no full length mirror. You’re left to guess how you look.- no cold air conditioner. Only heater available (I stayed in mid-November).- no complimentary bottles of water- duvet doesn’t look like it’s been washed in the last 5 years. Saw some small blood stains on it.- pillow extremely flat

Good location. Funny old hotel with radio in the bedhead and old ass 90s TV and decor felt like I was transported to the 90s, lol, very cool. Bed comfy enough. Satisfactory all around

A great hotel located just behind Matsuyama Station. The room, staff, location and exceedingly reasonable prices made it a winner.

If you're looking to continental breakfast, you might find the selection a bit limited, but the Japanese choices were excellent.

A bit old and not super comfy, a bit dusty also. Otherwise for the price it's a good place.Don't go to the R floor.... Spooky....

Good location and value. Be sure to get the discount ticket for the hot spring bath house across the road.

The breakfast was so-so, and too expensive for what it is.
