REF Matsuyama City Station BY VESSEL HOTELS

Very nice room, spacious for a Japanese hotel. Spotlessly clean. Great breakfast buffet, highlighting local produce. Very nice sento. Useful location next to the station, many restaurants very nearby. Friendly and very helpful staff. Nice amenities and free welcome drinks and ice cream. Good climate-friendly initiatives, kindly and clearly explained (reduced cleaning, amenities only on-demand, no bottled mineral water). Car park nearby (1000 yen per day for hotel guests).

Location. Onsen on 3rd floor was nice.

The double room is very small, elevator is so slow, breakfast dining was good but it was just too crowded; we felt the hotel pack too many guests for the size of their hotel.

This is a business hotel located right in front of the station, though it can feel very crowded most of the time.

the bedding was quite shocking. There was no proper bed sheet—only a mattress cover. The typical mattress cover material felt slippery and uncomfortable compared to cotton sheets, making it hard to sleep comfortably.Additionally, when the heater was turned on, there was an unpleasant smell.Ah, There are only two elevators, and we constantly had to wait. During checkout time, the elevators were often full from the upper floors, so we missed them two or three times. I’d strongly recommend allowing extra time in your schedule when checking out.

The front desk staff were helpful and professional. We were particularly impressed by the staff serving the breakfast who were all very courteous, friendly and hardworking constantly replenishing food and collecting the used dishes. The room was made up and cleaned well every day. The location of the hotel is excellent being right next to the Matsuyama City tram station. Our room had a fantastic of the street leading to the tram station and we could even see the Matsuyama Castle from our room although part of the view was blocked by antenna on top of the building across the street.

The bathroom was a bit on the small side and the water would suddenly get hotter on and off when showering.

the location is great just next to the Matsuyama city station and the Tram station; we can easily start to explore the whole city. The breakfast is also great; the food line represented the remarkable local product. The breakfast room also has a great view of the city

There are no parking lot nearby, it a bit confused when you were new in the city, anyway it is manageable!!also, the breakfast period is a bit too short, need to enjoy more time

Breakfast was great with lots of delicious food choices. The check in was quite slow and at times you have to wait quite a long time for one of the 2 elevators. The bed was quite hard, but okay but we were only given one pillow each. For the price of the hotel I would have expected 2 pillows. A clean hotel with helpful staff, but maybe for the price i would have expected a bit more comfort in the bedrooms.

No access to coffee machine in the morning. Convenience store was available next door.

Very little interaction with staff. Taking shoes off in the room - there should be a stool provided to do this. It was not clear which train station to go to. No information about the local area was provided and it was hard to find restaurants for dinner. Weird bottom sheet on bed.

Better than expected! All the facilities are well maintained, the only down is the elevator is kinda busy. Make sure you leave extra time to go out. They use the parking next to the rail which is convenient.

The bed was too hard.The breakfast buffet was impressive and quite cheap for the variety of local dishes. I highly recommend it.

Great location, easy check in and out, friendly staff.

Very small rooms. Beds are so uncomfortable. Rock hard mattresses that are like sleeping on the floor. No sauna for women and only a steam room that isn't hot. Can't use the onsen if you have tattoos. Nowhere to store your stuff or unpack in the rooms.

Central to sights, property had great Onsen. Excellent location to castle, Dogo Onsen and gardens, Ehime art museum and shopping.

Beds were a bit hard.

The room is very clean and bed is comfortable. The public bath is very spacious as well. Besides, the location is pretty good, just at the center of the city and easy to walk around.

Excellent location (right next to city station, tram station, bus terminal and also shopping precinct) and rooms are newly built and in great condition. Lots of great little extras to love at this place, the third floor has an onsen (men's and women's seperate, but you can reserve for a family group), and also an anime library with massage chairs. The second floor (reception) has free soft drinks after 2pm and free ice-cream after 7pm... brilliant! Good buffett breakfast with 6 different kinds of Mandarin juice to try (given the area is famous for Mandarin farming). We stayed in a deluxe quadruple room with 2 kids, the room had an alcove with 2 futons where the kids slept. Highly recommend for families!

Located at the heart of Matsuyama (above the train station). The room was well designed, small but perfectly formed with a good style.

There was a discrepancy with the local parking arrangements where we paid more than we were expecting (cash only).

Clean rooms, ours overlooked the castle, and amazing hotel facilities. The public onsen was quiet and well equipped, with every toiletry possible and lots of towels. There is free soft serve and welcome drinks in the lounge, and coffee. We did not book breakfast but it looked good. Would definitely stay again.

Super nice and modern hotel. Also had a very well maintained and clean public bath. Very convenient location right next to Matsuyama City Station and easy access to the castle, good coffee, restaurants and shopping streets.

It was centrally located. The breakfast was excellent! The staff was great. There is an airport bus right outside the rntrance..

We could have used a 2nd pillow, but I didn't ask, so I might have been able to get one.

Very convenient location right above the City rail station (not the JR station) and adjacent to tram/bus terminus. Comfortable night for 4 adults in a quad room. Brilliant breakfast - lots of fresh local produce including sashimi, 3 different varieties of fresh orange juice, etc - many different options. Overall a great stay!
