    Pros +

    • This is a truly luxury experience. The staff are exceptional. The decor reminds one of the art deco cruise liners of the past. The breakfast and food offerings in the evening are scrumptious. The location is very near the local train station so getting around is easy and interesting. I have stayed before and return to Takamatsu for the pleasure of this facility.
    • Breakfast was OK and the staff friendly and helpful.
    • Royal Park is very clean, the staff were helpful although most of the staff spoke no English. Rooms were nicely furnished and beds were very comfortable. Royal Park has a great afternoon "happy hour" where some snacks are available in the lounge along with tea, coffee, and juices. The breakfast buffet was terrific with both Western and Japanese foods available. Highly recommend!

    Cons -

    • There is nothing not to like except leaving
    • The evening snacks & drinks were identical every day. I appreciate that it is offered at all, but food was not fresh or imaginative.
    • Everything was great.

The cocktail hour was very nice.

The smell in the cortidor of our room was not goid the day we arrived. After that it was fine.

Breakfast and happy hour were nice.

The room was quite small. Expected a bigger room for the price.

Reasonable 20 min walk to the ferries out to the art islands. Nice business style hotel.

    9TimothyPosted on: 10-27-2025

Very close to the shopping arcades, has a nice lounge with self service drinks.

It would be nice to have a real bar with a bartender in the lounge. Transportation nearby is a little spotty

Located centrally, close to all the restaurants and shopping and the kotoden line

About a 30 minute walk from the Takamatsu JR train station and ferry port

Well located and with a classic look, this hotel exceeded my expectations. Rooms were sufficiently large, good wifi, nice fixtures.

No room service or outdoor dining.

Very nice staff. Generous and pleasant cocktail hour. Traditional Japanese breakfast fare and presentation.

    The room was very small.

    staffs are nice

breakfast are same bad everyday. very expensive for a tiny 'deluxe' room.

The hotel has a fancy appearance but does not deliver in value for money. Rooms are very small, cluttered with extraneous stuff that is of minimal use and poorly set up. The "extra" feature of the lounge was laughable. Sad little canapés and wrapped processed cheese and crackers as the snacks. Breakfast was a set menu choice between Western or Japanese style but not even cooked as requested. Overall, it is a nice-looking hotel that, unfortunately, does not deliver. No other facilities such as an onsen bath or laundry.

Location was good for restaurants shops- short walk (1 km) to port/ station. Bus stop outside hotel

I liked the retro vibe of the hotel, it felt very 1920s-1930s. The theme was consistent throughout the facilities, from the entrance to the lobby, club lounge and the rooms. The cosmetic products were really high quality, especially the conditionner and body lotion.I was particularly impressed with the service quality. All the staff was friendly, professional, helpful and extremely polite. All the staff from the club Lounge cocktail time and breakfast were so nice in doing their absolute best to communicate with us despite the language barrier to encourage us to eat before closing time and showing us how to eat local foods. Breakfast was very tasty and beautifully presented. The rooms were very clean. I think the best part about this hotel is truly how nice the staff is. Customer service here is 10/10.

Excellent service and location. The special perksWith drinks and snacks like afternoon tea, Happy Hour, late night noodles and ochazuke is genius.

    No complaints

    Excellent location, service and amenities.

Double bed against the wall for 2 people isn’t practical. Food was plentiful but somewhat lacking in flavor.

The breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed using the Cub lounge in the evenings. Our evening meal at the Nishiki restaurant at the Hotel was amazing !!!!

Older hotel but good staff. Rooms are reasonable size. Great location near lots of shops & small restaurants so you can easily find interesting food. Cute bars nearby. We had club rooms & well worth the extra cost. Great breakfasts.

No gym. Needs a bit of a refurb.

    7CecilePosted on: 11-27-2024

I loved their club lounge. The Japanese breakfast and cocktail and bar hours made up for the room which was disappointing for a luxury room. The staff was also helpful.

For a luxury room with a garden view I can overlook the small size. However the bathroom was seriously outdated and it didn’t smell fresh. The motion detector lights kept turning on whenever my husband moved in bed, waking him up. And there was not much of a garden as it was just a balcony that was covered in hedging.

Great hotel! Breakfast was great. We slept really well, nice quiet room and comfy beds. We had access to the lounge which was worth the extra spend as we enjoyed having a drink and snacks there in the evenings. Location was great - good transport links and in a nice area with lots nearby too. The staff were lovely.

The only minor thing was it would be good to have more storage in the bedroom including drawers or shelves for clothes. It just had space to hang clothes.
