- Good location, laundry facility was convenient
- Great location and a very reasonable price. We stayed here to visit the Art Island of Naoshima and the ferry terminal is about a 15 min walk, and less than 10 mins to get to Takamatsu station. You can easily get to Ritsurin Garden by train in 20 mins.
Cons -
- moldy shower curtain and unfriendly checkout personnel, standard uncomfortable pillows
- Dated and not very clean.

Great location and a very reasonable price. We stayed here to visit the Art Island of Naoshima and the ferry terminal is about a 15 min walk, and less than 10 mins to get to Takamatsu station. You can easily get to Ritsurin Garden by train in 20 mins.
The hotel was near the main station and main shopping parade. It was clean and the staff were helpful.
Everything was great
Location was excellent, just a few minutes walk from the station and the harbour. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Everyday cleaning was possible. The mattress was very comfortable. Windows could be opened in our room. A 5-minute walk from the most lovely French cafe that was perfect for breakfast.
The only way to contact the property in advance is via phone call. Unfortunately, the staff member on the end of the phone line was rude and patronising. We had to call three times and each time was neutral at best and uncomfortable at worst. Only two pillows provided in the small double bedroom, which is a little tough for two people.
The staff wasn’t helpful towards finding a live cockroach in our room, would’ve expected a refund
There are cockroaches in the rooms
The beds were comfortable and twin beds were big enough for 2 adults and 1x11 years old child. The male staff members were very sincere and helpful. 7mins walk to Takamatsu station area. Good value.
Staff were nice. Easy check in.
Room wasn't very clean. I had cigarette burns in the duvet cover so it was covered in holes. Also about 10 minutes walk from the station so a bit inconvenient
This was an okay hotel - but too expensive
Too expensive for a small room - small uncomfortable bed
Close to the train station. Good amenities and friendly staff
The only good thing was the location. Everything else was awful.
The staff was condescending and rude. (Not all the staff at the reception, but definitely 2 or 3 of them.). Simple questions were met with incredulity and I felt I was being patronized. AND INCREDIBLY I WAS ASKING IF THEY HAD AVAILABILITY FOR AN EXTRA NIGHT. I have lived in Japan for almost over 23 years, so I know the standard of service expected in Japan. When a pleasant member of staff took over, she dealt with my simple request politely and efficiently, ie, she checked the computer and found there was a room available which I paid for. Not sure why the other staff was rude. Did they think that foreign customers accept a lower standard of service? In addition, the hotel was shabby and old and the flooring had horrible stains everywhere in the hallways. The room was barely clean and smelt off. The lobby was sparkling, but behind the facade is a dirty shabby hotel.
The room is very clean. Even though I stayed in a smoking room, there was no strong smell. The hotel is also well-equipped.
It was really spacious, as private apartment room, they have large refrigerator, laundry machine, micro oven, electric kettle. Full kitchen
They have full equipment, but they don’t serve water or tea coffee so, it’s useless
Location was excellent. Near station, car rentals and eating places.Beds were comfortable. Not too noisy.
Most staff didn’t speak English and little information in English. No free tea or coffee and very limited communal space.Poor quality amenities - reused slippers and tired gowns. Dirty mugs in room.Corners cut on room cleaning and every aspect. Room not well cleaned. Hair on carpet and fluff at carpet edges. Water marks on plumbing on arrival and after room clean.Had to upgrade room as advertised Double room was a ‘semi-double’. Not full size double bed and not enough room to open 2 cases.Upgrade then caused admin problems on further night booked as separate booking which led to us being locked out of our rooms, despite them knowing we had booked a 3rd night. Management was ‘on holiday’ so not available to discuss the issues and no real apology given. This has been the worst Japan hotel experience.
Location , it was close to the station and clean
Small room for the price
We got a great room at a great price which provided a kitchenette, washer/dryer, sofa for our family of 4. Great value for money.
Washer dryer meant no going down to common laundry facility of the hotel saving time & stress of going up/down.However, dryer wasn't strong enough, hence, next morning needed to rush damp clothes into dryer on ground floor for final dry off
It was an excellent location. The property was newer.
There was hair in the sink drain and a strong sewer smell in the room.
A typical low-end business hotel. The laundry facilities were useful and reasonably priced. It's located fairly near the main shopping arcades in Takamatsu, lots of eating options nearby and the train station and the port are a shortish walk.
For a hotel named "Ekimae" (in front of the station), it wasn't as near the station as it could be. The reception isn't manned in the morning, though you can call them over and I suppose you get what you pay for.
The rooms are nice and it is quiet but they need a deep cleaning.
I could see different areas which have not been cleaned well like the fridge, mirror, there was some plastic from the previous visitor in the bathroom. More attention to detail would make the stay feel much better.
The location is close to transport and few sign spots.
The room is not cleaning everyday is okay. However,if we needs to clean the room, in the morning, there is no one working at reception in the morning who can assist to leave message to cleaning staff. We need to asking for cleansing tag from reception in the evening the day before, if we wish the room need to be clean.
