Matiz Barão Geraldo Express Hotel

Beds are comfortable and spotless, and the shower is truly refreshing.

The air conditioner is poor and doesn’t cool the room properly. The TV and minibar are outdated and noisy.

Nice location to SIRIUS and many restaurants and supermarket.

Very good brekfast.

Mattress was too soft, charge of 30 reais for breakfast, didn’t have many options

Staff is not prepared to deal respectfully with clients.Wasn't very clean, curtains and drawers were dirty.

The staff is very friendly and breakfast quite good. The location is OK, too.

There was a strange, very strong smell in my room when I arrived. it turned out it was the bed sheets of one of the beds in the room that smelled mouldy. Maybe the room had not been occupied for some time and the sheets at the window bed got humid and started to get mouldy. I alerted the staff about this and they change the sheets.

I have stayed in other hotels in Barão Geraldo, but that is the best so far

Not a big deal, Just a warning for the light sleepers: I had to turn off the mini fridge every night and use a white noise machine to drown the noise from the avenue. However, the sound proof of the room was still better then most hotels in Barão Geraldo.

The hotel is well located for visits to the university campus and well organized for business travel. Personnel is friendly No nonsense choice. Decent breakfast.

The hotel gets a bit run down, especially the rooms. Lack of atmosphere. What was annoying was the very high rate charged for a few hours earlier arrival to use to the room. Administrative work (billing, invoice) slow. Overall price quality ratio is not that good.

Very good shower. Decent bed. Good airconditioning and wifi.Iron and ironboard available. Breakfast iwas not great, but still quite good.

The hotel doesnt provide hand towels

No hand towels and no soap. Had the ask for them at the front desk. Should have been in the room in the first place

The location is great. It is right next to Placa de Coco. So very well situated

Bathroom was dirty and filthy. Mold growing in the shower. I am coming to Campinas with a group of 40 scholars. I was staying at the hotel to check it out, but decided this is not a good option.

Rooms are spacious, staff friendly

Breakfast is not amazing, especially given that it's not included.

Modern, clean hotel in a nice neighborhood, close to the university, restaurants, breweries, bakeries and beach tennis. Friendly, helpful personnel and an excellent breakfast at an affordable price. Highly recommended for work or pleasure.

The location is excellent, with several restaurants in the region.

The room could use a renovation, the wi-fi is very slow (even though the signal reception in the room is good) and the amenities could include shampoo as well (and not only soap).

The hotel is well managed and conveniently located close to shopping and UniCamp. There are residential districts around where you -- even -- can go jogging and there is a small pool and a parking lot. There is a nice public park also in walking distance.

The breakfast is OK and could be improved to match up with the other qualities of the facility, but maybe it is the right for the market and I am just expecting a more international choice of options.

I had previously stayed at this hotel, so I knew what to expect. Everything was very clean and the staff is great.

They could redo the pavement in the parking lot, especially the parts for disabled parking.
