Hotel staff are friendly and speak EnglishThe location is nice. Near a Shinkansen and a bus station.Breakfast has good options and is delicious.

The room seems old. The Aircon is making weird noises. If we had stayed more than 2 nights we would have requested to change rooms but we were tired for the day so we just set the Aircon to AC mode instead of heater cause it makes less noise when set to that. The kettle took time to warm up and took us 10 minutes to warm up 200ml of water.Pillows are uncomfortable and it looks like it's already too old.The lighting of the room is so uncomfortable. They need to improve the positioning of the lights

Breakfast food items were creative and excellent. Location was prime.

Perhaps the flow of hotels guests having breakfast could be improved by implementing a ticket voucher system or having additional room in the lobby available.

Very Disappointed

We are near the end of a four week tour of Japan. Working our way down from Sapporo to Fukuoka and have stayed in a number of hotels on the way. We can honestly say this was the most disappointing one we stayed at.Our room on the 13th floor looked out over the station - trainspotters paradise! The noise of the trains and station announcements could be heard clearly from the room with the window closed. Very annoying when you are trying to get some sleep. The bed was very uncomfortable as the mattress was extremely hard.Unlike other hotels we have stayed at in Japan breakfast was very disappointing as it catered mainly for the Chinese/Japanese clients. As much as we like to try local foods when we are traveling, we do find it hard to eat meat, rice, noodles and salad dishes for breakfast. There was no cereals, fruit or yogurt.

We like the room which is big and quiet. The hotel is near shopping street and there’s a lot of restaurants nearby.

The female staff in the front desk is a bit reluctant to help.

This Toyoko Inn was quite average in term of location, room size, cleaningness and breakfast content. Nothing to praise or complain about.

During my stay I could find see only 3 kitchen staff working. There was always food shortage in the service area and customers had to wait in long line for the food and seating place.There were 3 Toyoko Inns in this area. you had to match the exact address in google map in order not going to the wrong place.

Close to the railway station. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast was decent. Have luggage storage.

Bed is a bit too hard for our liking and pillow too thin. Dryer did not do a good job even after two rounds, had to lay out laundry in our room to dry overnight.

I like the breakfast so much. The location to Okayama main station walking distance is only about 5 to 10 minutes.

Mostly the front desk staff need to improve on their English speaking and understanding skills. As usual the room is small but still for okay one person…

Much more spacious room than usual business hotels. A small table and chairs by the window. I had a great view from the 13th floor. Very inexpensive and quite close to the train station.

Check-in time is later than most hotels (4:00 pm). The breakfast area is too small and crowded; staying open till 10:00 instead of 9:00 would help. The refrigerator in my room worked TOO well; even at the lowest setting everything froze solid.

Very hard bed, breakfast had limited western fare, pillows were half filled with beans and half feathers so very uncomfortable.

The stay is about a 6 minute drive all from the station with a Lawson convenience store 2 minutes away. The buffet breakfast every morning was tasty and the reception staff were happy to answer any questions I had.

In terms of a base to visit Himeji, Okayama, Kurashiki and the local area, it is fantastic. A short 5 mins walk from Okayama station, this was a clean, practical place and cost effective place to stay. No it's not fancy, but they didn't advertise that. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were lovely.

Everything is better than our originally expecting.

The toilet is in their traditional design. We feel its size as same as the economic double room though we stayed in queen double room.

Close by many cafes. Only 5 minutes walk from station.

The bed is already hardened. The pillow is also no longer fluffy. But, if you are already tired the whole day, this doesn't matter. You may still sleep well.

The room was too hot and the air conditioner seemed to be set to 26 degrees no matter how you try to lower the temperature

The free breakfast was good ?

Omg the noise from the trains as the hotel was right next to the railway line. Could not fall asleep until 3am despite being tired because of the noise. Hence why we gave a poor rating. Bed was not comfortable either mattress was extra hard had sore back in the morning.
