Kurashiki Station Hotel

Kurishiki is a good mid point between Fukuyama and Okayama if traveling under your own power. Small town and a little backward in a good way.

The hotel needs to get rid of the smoking rooms which nasty up the entire hallways.

Bike parking downstairs was handy, and I was able to sneak the bike in without its bag. Stairs ! Ice machine and laundry on more than just one floor way more convenient.

Old building that has been smoked in, and there was a smoking area on my floor, gross.

The location is within easy walking distance of the historic district. And the breakfast is excellent for the price, although very "Japanese".

For the price, everything was great. One tip I would offer if you're considering this property, is that the twin rooms are much more spacious than the single rooms. It might be worth booking a twin room even if it's for one person.

Location is among the best and you'll get a decent sleep here, even in those tiny rooms they have at a budget price. (if you're a minimalism lover)

The fact that we got our cleaning usually around 10-11am, while we wanted to stay more in our room and get the cleaning later on in the day, like after 2pm, but that wasn't always possible. Still, not complaining.

I got a triple room with my friends, the room was very large. The staff was nice and the bathroom was good and clean. The only downside was the wifi, a little slow.

Best pillow in any business hotel in Japan.

I wish they can provide conditioner too next time. They only have shampoo and body wash.
