Apa Hotel Kurashiki-Ekimae

Excellent location right next to train station. Close to historical area, food, and shopping. Breakfast is good, comfy beds, and staff are helpful.

There are floors with smoking facilities and sometimes the elevator smells like tobacco smoke. Also, the walls are too thin you can hear your neighbor snoring at night

The location is great

Some of the front staff. One of the female staff (she seemed to be a manager or someone with authority) never even acknowledged us the entire time we were at the counter - when her staff was asking her a question, she almost ignored her as well. The ladies at the breakfast room were wonderful, and helped us to start a good day :)

Stayed in plenty of apa hotels, this one didn’t really stand out to me but it was still nice, the staff are always fantastic.

Didn’t enjoy the random scent of cigarettes I had at random points in the night in my non smoking room.

service was amazing. we booked while on the bullet train and the staff very kindly kept all of our rooms together which was amazing.

Cleanliness was awful, thick dust lining the room. Staff were rude to foreigners. No new amenities past check-in day.

Breakfast is good. The location is 30 to 40 steps away from JR Kurashiki Station.

The price is quite expensive for average APA Hotel rate.

My initial room was, in theory, a double room, however there was nowhere to open a suitcase despite wasted space between the bed and the window. That a guest with anything more than a backpack would be allocated such a room was hard to comprehend. I was able to change rooms … but a guest staying when the facility is well patronised may not have such luck.

The hotel is next door to the train station and the location can't be beat. Rooms are affordable and staff are friendly.

There were not enough outlets in the room to charge my laptop and phone at the same time, the wifi was slow, and the hotel allows smoking.

It was close to the station, close to Kurashiki center. Classic APA hotel.

Bathroom had terrible mold smell

ONE MINUTE WALK FROM TRAIN STATION (CONNECTED BY OVER HEAD WALKWAY), SO CLOSE TO TOWN, LOVELY ROOM CLEAN BATHROOM.

Very clean, nice decor, good breakfast.

We had 2 toilet paper rolls but one was almost empty, and no stock, but luckily it was enough for everyone. We had an electric kettle and mugs for tea but no tea bags or coffee, also we could not see them around the reception area. Our room had no view, only the rooftop with A.C.s, felt a bit isolated.

Breakfast the first day was fine, the second day was a busy holiday and the restaurant was clearly understaffed.Hotel location was excellent.The double room was larger and more comfortable than I expected. Only smoking rooms were available but we could open the window and there was an air-purifier in the room. The room also had a good view, and we were happy to be able to watch BBC World News.

Staffing at breakfast was inadequate.

Front clerk at the hotel was really kind to check in. I carried my child in my arm and had several baggage. The guy helped us to check in and to use elevator.

It was a bit noisy in the topmost floor (probably the elevator going up and down or something)

Rooms are large by Japanese standards and comfortable. Good location next to the station and near to the Bikan.

No temperature control in the room. For most of my stay the room was cold. Breakfast is not the best value for the price.
