Hotel Granvia Okayama

I appreciate the clean and spacious accommodations. The indoor hall connecting the hotel to the train station was particularly useful, especially in inclement weather.

So close to the main station.

Guest room is way too small for the price. The designs of the interior was pretty ugly.

Location. Quiet, large lobby. Plentiful elevators. Tall / normal height ceilings.

There were left over dirty dishes I’m from a prior guest in my refrigerator upon check in. I tried twice to have the front desk come and do a clean out but no one ever did. I finally cleaned it out myself and put the trash bag full of dirty sippy cups and half drunk milk tea bottles in the trash bag and put it in the hall. Another guest was given a smoking room when he paid for non-smoking. The single bed rooms are in an unremodled part of these hotel that is dingy and in need of updates. It was not a good value for the money all said.

It’s connected to Okayama station, which is extremely convenient. Room was good size. Good breakfast on the top floor, plenty of choices both western and Japanese.

Upscale hotel directly connected to Okayama station, perfect for our one-night layover. We upgraded to a larger room, which proved very comfortable. A bit pricey but super convenient.

Location-right next to the station

The hotel is getting old(30 years old) and out of date facilities such as very low bathroom sink, no electric outlets near the bed.

Spacious room, the largest thus far during our travels. Hotel is conveniently located very near Okayama Station as well as stores and restaurants, even a supermarket. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this hotel about 20 years ago and again in September, 2025. The hotel is showing some aspects of aging (design, furnishings), but the management has done a good job of maintaining the property and the staff was simply wonderful, not to mention that the hotel is close to any transportation you will need. I'd like to shout out Ayumi and Momoko for extreme personal service both before and upon our arrival, they helped us with arranging Kibi Plain bike rides and could. not have been more patient and kind to us. Thank you, Momoko and Ayumi!!!

Location is perfect. Staff is perfect. Room service was great. Assistance was great.

Excellent place, located at the station in Okayama, with plenty of shops around, and the Aeon shopping mall next door. Highly recommend, staff were very polite and helpful. Also considering the price of hotels in Japan, this one I believe is value for money, and the room was around 35 square metres, very big for Japanese standards.

My only negative is that the pillows are small.

The location. It’s connected to the Okayama station, two convenience stores and Donkihote are nearby.

The electric outlet. It would be great to have USB charging ports, like other newer hotels do.

At the train station with lots of shops and restaurants nearby, luggage storage before and after stay, the rate was good.

The rooms were in serious need of refreshments, the carpet looked old and dusty. May be because we chose the cheaper rooms.

Being attached to the Okayama Train Station is perfect and the hotel is well signposted. The room was huge - lovely and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was one of the best on our trip! The check in process was very easy, staff were lovely and helpful - they really go out of your way to help you!

The internet. Unfortunately more needs to be done to improve internet accessibility and speed. It was a bit disappointing to find a hotel in Japan with poor internet connectivity. I would suggest finding somewhere else if you are travelling for work, or require a strong internet connection while travelling. We communicated this to staff and they tried their best to help us out!
