Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okayama-Ekimae

Good breakfast and good location, walked to garden and train station

The staff from check-in to check-out were very accommodating. DRHO allowed complimentary bag storage before our stay. This was really useful since we stayed for two nights in small towns mainly serviced by local one man trains. The hotel was comfortable & up to DRH standards. The breakfast buffet was satisfying with a good selection of both western & Japanese food.The location to Okayama station was excellent, yet the sound of the trains did not reach our room. Bus & streetcar stops were near & the underground connector with dining & shopping options were certainly helpful.

The bathroom layout was a bit dated. The overall condition of the room was very clean & maintained, but the step up to the bathroom was somewhat of a challenge for my wife. The hotel entrance, adjacent to the BIC Camera building, could have benefitted from an additional directional sign.

The hotel has a great location as it is close to the station and only an easy pleasant walk of about 20+ minutes to the art museum, the Orient Museum, the Castle and the garden. The room we had was very spacious with an ante room for luggage, roomy closet space and drawers. The bed was comfortable. The little sofa was useful and each side of the bed had reading lights, always a bonus. The reception staff were extremely helpful and gracious.

The room lighting was not great, being more of a single option cold fluorescent. The breakfast was more fast than wonderful and the seating in the breakfast room was quite worn.

Great location 5 min walk from the station. The room was adequate with good WiFi. Comfortable bed. I used the in-house washing machine and dryer, which worked well.

The breakfast was quite simple, but adequate.

The property requires some renovation Fir example: The seating in restaurant is torn,The breakfast should be self serving,Not enough choice,and the overall impression of the breakfast- wasn’t pleasant,We had a lot of noise at night even we stayed on 7th floor,We won’t visit again this hotel and we won’t recommend to stay in it.We stayed in many Daiwa Hotels during our visit and this is not in the standard of Diawa’s Hotels

Across the street from the train station. Room was big for Japan. Breakfast is generous but not great food.

Room could have been cleaner. Inside room with no window reeked of smoke.

Showing its age.

Location was excellent. The hotel can ne reached from underground. It was raining when we arrived so we did not get wet.

Step to bathroom was higher than expected.

We requested a quiet room. The staff was very kind and upgraded us to a much bigger room and was very quiet.

Location was just opposite JR station &!near bus terminals & tram. Having washer & dryer is a bonus though just 3 to serve so many means wait time is long during evening washing periods.

The step up to the bathroom can be quite tough for elderly. Also the layout of the room is quite weird. I expected a 28m room to be fairly big but found it was the 2 twin beds that were big & took out much of the space in the room.

booked a smoking room by mistake but they could not find a non-smoking room for us. It was miserable 2-nights in a super stinky room

When I checked in, they said they need to charge for another adult since I am traveling with an adult and two kids. I reserved a room with two beds, and I input 1 adult and two kids on the booking.com website but they said the rule is if we are going to use the second bed, I should have reserved as two adult and 1 child. It does not make sense! It is obvious that I am going to use the second bed as I am making a reservation for two beds room!!Also, they only gave me 1 card for a room which requires the card to keep the light on. I had to run to get drinks out of the room, and I had to drag everyone out of the room! Can the front staff think? It just does not make sense!

Walking distance from Okayama station as well as attractions, shopping areas, food, etc. Able to wash and dry clean clothes for an affordable sum. The rooms are considered quite big for a Japanese hotel.

The toilet didn't have much space to hang clothes or to place all of one's toiletries.

location, the room spaciius, clean and comfortable. easy and fast check in/out.

Close to the station, very convenient and friendly staff. Big room , good value.
