    Pros +

    • Everything! Beautiful charming hotel on a parque. Excellent staff. Best part is they had real sheets and blankets on the beds instead of those duvets!!??
    • Hotel Salta is my favorite hotel! The hotel is clean and well kept. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious. Each room has a safe if you want it. By far the best buffet breakfast of all the hotels we have stayed at in Argentina. For Americans, the fact they serve eggs is a massive bonus compared to other hotels. Finding a low carb, low sugar breakfast in Argentina is amazing! Kitchen staff will fill your water bottles both cold and hot water. The hotel is located at one corner of Plaza 9 de Julio, the main center of the city. A history museum, high altitude museum (must see location), and main cathedral are all located around the plaza. Taxi pickup location right outside the hotel door. Restaurants located all close by also.
    • Fabulous price to value ratio. Always our top Salta hotel pick. Great location, old world style, views, delicious breakfast, lovely staff. Will stay again!

    Cons -

    • Having to leave!
    • I have no complaints, the several different times we have stayed at the hotel have always been positive.

Fantastic, walkable location in a beautiful historic hotel. Rooms were very clean and staff were very kind. The parking was a super helpful touch as we had a car.

excellent location, convenient free parking, good early breakfast at 6 am, decent restaurant on premises

comfortable room but somewhat small for two people

Wonderful location, close to everything. The staff were nice and accomodating. Breakfast had a good variety.

The street is quite loud (there was a parade and we weren't warned at check in), the facilities are quite outdated, and the room is pretty small. There were quite a lot of bugs.

Location, staff are very efficient and helpful, a building with character, very clean. The swimming pool area is very comfortable.

An absolute gem! We booked this last minute and were over the moon excited when we arrived and saw how gorgeous and historic the hotel is. I loved every detail from the art and architecture. The restaurant and staff are also amazing. The bedroom had double windows so there was zero outside noise from the street.

    No complaints

Location right on central square very near many restaurants, museums and churches. Wonderful staff. Diverse breakfast. Spacious clean rooms. Good value and colonial vibe.

    9HooverPosted on: 10-16-2025

The only downside was the street work that took place right outside our window from midnight to 3 am. My husband couldn't believe they were using a jackhammer. It was pretty loud.

The noise. Although I understand the hotel had nothing to do with it.

The architecture and location of the hotel is unique. Evry room, corridor, lobby, restaurant seems to be authentic. Just check the photos.Comfort is very good, free parking in the hotel's patio

The access by car was a bit difficult due to roadworks and heavy traffic around Salta at the time of our arrival.

    9MonirPosted on: 9-26-2025

My room was on the street side so it was a bit noisy and the pillows were very uncomfortable. Maybe on my next trip to Argentina I should carry my own pillow. So far, I did not have a good pillow anywhere in Argentina and I lost sleep over the bad pillows. breakfast was more pastry and I didn't try the fruit salad because it wasn't appetizing.but all together I was very happy with my choice

The people at the front desk and in breakfast roomLocationClean

This hotel was a part of history. The architecture was amazing. It's an old Spanish building the floors are shiny dark brown and walls were colorful tiles w/ wooden beams. The rooms were average in size. Some rooms have 2 twin beds some have queen beds. Some have nice views Some have no views. The front desk were very good at giving what you asked. The breakfast was also amazing w/ a view of the plaza.

I love everything except when you check in early or late, because of your flight it seems like they charge you for the whole day.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent location at the center of Centro where there are several things to visit and lots of shops.

The room was much smaller than the pictures indicated. The room was on the street which was noisy. For the price I expected better.

    8ChristinePosted on: 6-9-2025

Location is unbeatable. Staff was so friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable (room 217) and the bathroom very small.

    9JeffreyPosted on: 5-22-2025

Lovely building, excellent location. Comfortable room. Very helpful staff.

    10RubinPosted on: 4-29-2025

Excellent location. The square is very lively with good restaurants and an outdoor pedestrian shopping mall. It is an old building, yet fully renovated with modern facilities. It is a 20 min drive from airport .
