    Pros +

    • It was clean but the carpets smelt like cat urine.
    • The surroundings of the hotel
    • The rooms were clean, location great for our weekend, staff was partially helpful.

    Cons -

    • The staff were unprofessional and uncommunicative. The noise from the other rooms was loud and raucous. It was more of a motel than a hotel. The 'restaurant' was non-existent.
    • The rooms are smelly that is an inaction that it wasn't used. They need to open to give fresh air daily.
    • We did not have electricity for most part of our stay which was 3 days. There was a generator only for lights and they would switch of plugs and geyser as soon as we arrive.Had dead cellphone battery for most part of the stay, which was difficult as we were away form our loved ones and we were offered an option of charging at reception. We had warm water only on Thursday evening and Sunday morning.Things weren't replaced, had to ask for toilet paper and teabags of which its normally replaces whenever rooms are being cleaned in other places. There was no proper explanation for the shortage of warm water. Management did not communicate the issues in a rightful manner that would make us comfortable...

The location is great, beautiful shopping center very close by.

If they could just change their mattress, it has sounds when you move

    It was terrible stay

Firstly booking.com charged us an amount and when we reach the hotel, the lady told us to pay more, the room was smelling carpet, the carpet is dirty, aircons are leaking.we had to move the bed to the lounge in order for us to sleep

The location was great, close to good restaurants and not too far from stores. The rooms are well-equipped and the staff were really helpful in meeting our needs.

Nothing, we really had a great stay at The Midlands Hotel. I'd visit again.

The staff are absolutely friendly and welcoming. The room had been clean and neat and the pool is well maintained.

The owners daughter was so lovely and hospitable. Very friendly and welcoming

The place has no soul , it’s lifeless but ok if all you need is a clean bed. It has a depressing kind of feel to it

The location is okay, no i did not eat breakfast

The rooms are cold, and I was very disappointed because twice upon my arrival I couldn't find the receptionist in her desk I was helped by the security officer. I find that very unprofessional.

    Large room, full bathroom

the TV. Please mount it to a swing arm so that you can watch tv from elsewhere in the room

The night watchman was exceptionally friendly, polite and helpful.

    1. No thought was given to access to the room with suitcases. There was no walkway, 2 sets of stairs bridging a drain and lush beautiful patch of grass to navigate, all of which aren’t wheel friendly. 2. The shower door in the bathroom wobbled alarmingly when opened or closed. 3. The environment (reception, dining room, bedroom & bathroom) was utterly lacking in charm and conviviality. I viewed the ‘nice suite’ [ #6 ] and decided it wasn’t worth the price difference and 2 flights of stairs. as it was just as utilitarian. 4. The walls between the units have no soundproofing or insulation and the very noisy sex the couple next door enjoyed [ good for them :-) ] didn’t match my mood as my mother is dying of cancer and I needed a place to stay for the night at short notice. 5. The quality of the food was very poor. Inedible really except for a piece of toast and a poached egg. That’s enough to be getting on with…

Great breakfast & location was good. Only 15min to Hilton College to watch sport and very close to restaurants and shops.Family unit looked newly renovated, lovely kitchen with new cupboards and fully kitted with cutlery and crockery etc. Was great to have a separate bedroom to the lounge and the heaters made the rooms lovely and warm.

Although I booked and paid for 3 people. When I arrived, they asked how many people in the family room, so they hadn't already made up the sleeper couch or even put bedding there. Also, there were only 2 towels instead of 3, I had to ask for the additional. But the staff were very helpful, once I pointed it out, they brought linen and made up the bed and gave me the extra towel.

    7BuyilePosted on: 9-11-2024

Fairly neat and comfortable. We also left some items which were kindly retrieved by house keeping and kept with management.

Cold water shower. I’m not certain if we were sharing a geyser with the room next to ours, we had no hot water to shower.

    8TipsPosted on: 9-9-2024

The breakfast is a bit expensive. The staff is also slow in serving guests.

    Time spent on preparing breakfast.

    8NicolePosted on: 8-5-2024

The staff were very accommodating. We arrived at 10.30pm as they're open for check in until 11pmThe staff were cheerful and willing.Clean room with everything you need. Location was excellent. Very happy and will stay again.

I always like a mirror in the bedroom to see what I look like in the morning before I leave - and also to dry my hair. So that would have been nice. There is one in the bathroom but the plug isn't that close.

    6KubendranPosted on: 7-8-2024

It neat, comfortable , clean linen and secure. The rooms were comfortable for a stay for a day or two. The staff at the reception were friendly. It is close to coffee shops and eating places.

It would be nice that all the rooms were the same. The deluxe king room didn’t have a kitchenette like the deluxe queen room even though it was much bigger. The shower was more spacious in the deluxe queen room than the deluxe king room. A simple remodel of the shower to make it bigger and walk in as opposed to step in for the deluxe king room would make an excellent bathroom. The AC for heating the deluxe king room is too small plus there is gaps in the door that doesn’t help in warming up the room. It would be better to have oil fin heaters to keep the room warm. The bed was large but it seemed that it was short length

    9AndrewPosted on: 7-6-2024

Spacious and comfortable, and staff really went above and beyond to accommodate us. Particularly the kitchen staff.

Room is well fitted; minor "would have liked" is another towel rail. And I never thought I'd say this but the bath is too big! It's so looooong. If they ever have an 8 foot tall guest he'll fit in the bath just fine, but for lesser mortals it hurts to use so much water, Of course there is also one of the best fitted showers I've seen, for the odd few who prefer that....
