A very good stay!

The room was nice and comfortable, the staff was stunning, friendly and very helpful. We also really enjoyed the dinner and Breakfast a lot. The chef made sure we are ok and happy with the food.

The Booking.com map directed us to the wrong place, Luckily I thought of using Google Maps which helped a lot.

Very clean. Staff were welcoming.

For some reason the aircon remote was not provided, not sure if there was a problem or aircons are not working.

The place is poorly maintained, the room was visibly dirty, especially the bathroom. I had to check out immediately and went to another facility in the area. I will never go back to Newcastle country lodge!!

It was exceptional ? the staff super friendly and helpful.

They experienced water shortage...how ever the made a contingency plan.

The location, the place, the scenery was good

The room we were provided was old, not clean, at first we did not have power to anything connected via the plugs and then we woke up, and there was no hot. Only to find out that the plugs switch had tripped, and they switched it back on but didn't put up the geyser switch. One guy who helped us, gave us another room to use, which was newly renovated, clean, a bit modern and nicer than the one we were provided.

Views and pool

I booked for a family room with 2 beds and breakfast included. The room I was offered was not a family room, it had one bed and I didn’t get breakfast.

Amazing owner who went out of her way to make things easier for us-and she really did!.Wonderful home-cooked meals from Solly the cheff.Ernest with his excellent manners and willingness.The friendly staff and beautiful grounds.What is there not to love about this awesome lodge?

The staff were exceptional, and the food was amazing - best surprise, as we got a complementary soup, and freshly made meals, which were cooked to perfection. Lovely staff who all worked together and were super helpful.

Breakfast not included .

The price i paid through booking.com was R 4500 for three adults for two nights with no breakfast . My son booked for two adults directly with the venue and he paid R 900 per night and this included breakfast. Never had this before with booking.com. I always use booking .com . I wasnt happy.

Excellent dinner made by the chef , curry and rice and dessert - delicious food and excellent service. Breakfast was excellent -hopelessly to much to eat ! Once again excellent service by the staff very friendly and helpful

The dinner was really good home cooked meal with an awesome butternut soup.

They brought the starter soup and the mains at the same time. As the soup was very hot I had my mains first. A little bread/roll with the soup would have been great to wipe up the leftovers on the side of the plate.

Secure, lovely for family outings,

No iron, hairdryer in the room.

The breakfast was standard and their bacon was nice. The location was good.

I think it's time to replace their beds. The springs have had enough.

It is clean and very quiet

The bed was hard. I was disappointed by the the set up of the bedroom considering that a person pays R1000

Like a home away from home. The garden was tranquil. The pool inviting! The staff welcoming. Overall great experience.
