Sugar Stars Inn

It is centrally located on a main street. Easy to find the local transportation any time of the day. The rooms are nice and clean and hot shower is available all day long. Staff are very attentive and are always there to help you.

I stayed at Sugar Starts Inn for one day and had a wonderful experience. The food was very delicious and fresh. The room was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The restaurant was also very attractive and well maintained.The hotel staff and service were excellent, polite, and helpful. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The staff and service were excellent! Very helpful, and room service was prompt as well. The breakfast was tasty, especially the honey banana pancakes! The hotel and rooms were very clean, with modern amenities. The hotel management and staff really made the stay special.

The staff couldn’t have done more for us. Very relaxing place in the midst of Varanasi! Lovely breakfast and they let us have a late check out as our train wasn’t leaving until 11pm. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We had a FANTASTIC stay at the property. Especially the staff were very kind and super friendly. Ajay made our stay 100x better as he was very kind and helped with every request. He even helped us book the train tickets and gave us plenty of info for our stay. He truly was one of the best people we have met during our stay in India. I would highly recommend this place!

The place is a bit far away from the river.

Room was nice and clean. Good size room. Bed was firm and comfortable, my room had a window which can be opened

Breakfast items were not ready by opening time, hot water issue on my last day stay, no one seems to know how to fix, one bucket of hot water was provided, located in one of the busiest and noisy area, the site is due for deep cleaning and fixes.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the hotel! From the very beginning, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and stress-free. My flight arrived around midnight, and before my trip, they had already reached out to check if I needed anything or any special arrangements. That thoughtful communication immediately made me feel cared for.Throughout my stay, they were incredibly helpful — assisting me in buying train tickets and arranging transportation whenever I needed it. Every single staff member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help.As a lovely bonus, all my breakfasts were served directly to my room, which made my mornings so much more relaxing. And when I checked out but had to return later to pick up my luggage, they even offered me a washroom and a chance to take a shower before heading to the railway station — a small gesture that made a huge difference after a long day.I couldn’t be happier with my stay. The service, attention to detail, and kindness of the staff made it truly exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Varanasi — I’ll definitely be coming back!

The room was clean. Bathroom was a modern western design with good hot water pressure. Room service for a light snack was great and very efficient. Their driver took me to the airport very early in the morning in a very spacious and comfortable car.

It’s not close to the Ghatts but I was looking for a comfortable one night stay to get me to the airport early the next day.

Convenient, the staff is very helpful and not pushy (usually in India hotel managers try to sell tours, guides or taxis, they didn't this time although such services were available upon request). The room was basic, but for a couple of days it was comfortable enough. Room service was ok (although they did not offer to clean the room).

The room could have been cleaner (but for Indian standards it was ok). There are no common areas where to have breakfast, but it is possible to order breakfast, lunch or dinner in the room.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was also fine. Only problem was the common space e.g. the reception area, corridors was very congested. Also there was no restaurant where you can sit and eat but you can order the food in your room. Staircases were also under construction.

Clean, comfy and excellent staff.

Staff were very kind and they were willing to help us. The location of this hotel was reasonably good, as there are few lodgings a short distance from the old town of Varanasi. However, it is necessary to take a rickshaw to get to the Ganges riverfront.

Since there are not many hotel options in Varanasi, I felt that the balance between room and price was not very good.

Property is well maintained, staff are polite and helpful.Reception are happy to help and support with arranging transportation and also very helpful in explaining and planning our visit to GATTs and temples around

The room was clean and comfortable. All staff were very helpful , including the security person. Good location and food is available near the hotel.

In terms of cleanliness, the hotel is not up to international standards. Our pillow cases were both dirty and even though we had them exchanged, also the new pillow cases were dirty. The windows are not completely sealed, so it smells of smog inside the room and it‘s quite noisy from the street. You find dirty dishes of food lying around in the hallway, making the hallways smell of food. We don‘t recommend this place.

Amazing lobby service, really helpful staff and clean roomes. We loved our stay thank you especially to rudra!

The staff was very helpful and just beside the hotel they have a punjabi restaurant who serve very delicious authentic punjabi food

Please be careful when booking the rooms - half the rooms face the street, and even on their highest floors, there is no insulation and the noise is completely screeching. I was there after a tiring travel, and the noticed the horrible noise from the moment I entered the room, and I simply couldnt stay there.
