Radisson Hotel Varanasi

hotel restaurant and food - service was acceptable

hotel is a bit tired looking, staff a little slow in updating check in and check out (even for india).Could not see taj from room window (a little foggy) "room with a view." Room supplies were not refilled properly had to ask a couple of times for towel

The location

Not worth the price paid - there was mouldy - wet smell in the room and bedsheets prompting that they were not dried properly and the room was not conditioned to give you a fresh environment .

It just hardly met the expectation of the Radison hotel

This place had weddings and party every day and music noises stopped at 4 am with no respect for the residents.

All went well with a comfortable stay. The food was delicious and the staff was very quick and supportive

Beautiful hotel, with great service, and complimentary fruits in the room every day.

A cheap hard mattress in the room was more of a wooden plank on springs than a real mattress. There was an awful smell in the hallway of the 5th floor, like rotten carpet.

Staffs were extremely good and pretty much accommodative of all my requests

To be honest this is not a 5* facility, pls don’t mislead, this is an outstanding 3* facility, the shocking fact is the washroom….. it is disgusting!!

Food was the best part of the stay. In the restaurants and in-room dining it was delicious. Rooms were good size, ample furniture. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Facilities are old but better than others in the area.

AC temperature controller very outdated and seemed to not work correctly. Rooms became very chilly and had to turn it off.

First of all the outer appearance of the building is very shoddy. Look it haven't been painted since a decade. Then we were not able to check-in because of their baceless policy of not giving rooms to unmarried couple. I've booked this property from booking.com and the Booking was not refundable. I requested the staff very politely to let us checkin but they were quite rude. Our whole trip to Varanasi was ruined by them.

We were vegetarians during stay. Food taste & preparation was average. Not to the standard of a star hotel. Limited spread for breakfast.

Located outside the main area and we chose to stay here for our last night as easier to get to the airport so was ideal for us, had we stayed here for the whole trip rather than by the River then we would have spent to long travelling back and forth. Nice hotel to the standard you would hope from the brand so all good.

The location was great. The food at the restaurant was amazing, both the buffet and a la carte. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

The bathroom definitely needed a bit of maintenance, the fittings were a bit old and loose.

The overall property appears old and somewhat shabby, with rooms that feel dated. I’m not sure if it meets the typical Radisson international standards. I had expected a higher quality of facilities from such a well-known international chain. In my opinion, the property feels overpriced for what it offers.

Good rooms in fair position some half hour from the Ganges. Breakfast was good but dinner was very poor. Selection at dinner which was a buffet was extremely poor and not managed well.We expected much more from a Radisson brand but sadly it did not deliver.

Pretty much everything was below the expectation.

Everything was in a mess. Room Ac's internal cutoff was not working . it was around 12 degrees in the room ......Solution offered ____Please have more blanket ... Breakfast spread was very poor ... pool full of mosquitoes .... less said the better

Need to keep clean & tidy bathroom & room walls had moles looked like the property was rundown for some time it’s not value for money as we pay for 4-5 star range it’s batter to stay others besides hotels are way batter which I have personally visit to view the rooms conditions.

Unfortunately we switched from the Taj to this hotel at the last minute. Unfortunately it needs refurbishment . Sadly the owners are resting on Their laurels.

Requires a thorough refurb and overhaul of its service provision. TV did not work Noisy drilling

Not expected from Radisson

Run down property. Needs renovation badly. No charging plug point near the bed. No Safety Locker in room.Toilet fittings - Taps are damagedWardrobe Doors and Drawers are not easy to open. Finishing is BAD.They do not provide even Luggage Rack. One has to sit on the floor to open the Bags.No value for Money

The food at the cafe was excellent. We had to check out early and ordered packed breakfast. It was very good. The location was good.

The room was a little worn out. Although we asked for a non-smoking room, when we entered it was full of cig smell. One big problem was the airconditioning system. The temp control did not work. Turning off the a/c made the room stuffy and keeping it on made it uncomfortably cold.

- Staff was helpful, joyful and extremely professional- Breakfast was excellent

- If you’ve stayed at other Radisson’s around the world, you’ll be quite disappointed by this one. Despite paying 100+ USD a night, I got an average room with a single bed, old furniture, and bad insulation. I could hear my neighbors talking, sounds from the street, etc. Wouldn’t recommend- You’ll be happily surprised to hear that India’s most expensive mango lassis are at the Radisson Varanasi - 370 rupees!!!
