Hyatt Regency Kolkata

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were extremely polite, helpful, and professional. The rooms were spacious, the food was excellent, and the overall ambiance was relaxing and pleasant.

Nothing significant. Everything was well managed and satisfactory.

Breakfast is huge and good quality of food is severed.

The bathrooms very really slippery. Especially the stepdown at shower entry. feels like very risky. Should have kept nice mats/anti slip tiles at least a row buttons which will protect the customers from slippery

The breakfast is exceptional...the staff Marful, Anu, Mujhaidul, Jamir, Nupur, Aloke, Anand and Sandipan were very attentive and friendly...Antra was the sweetest person in the hotel.

It’s a world class continental breakfast and food is mix and value for health . Service is prompt and quality service . The persons who are facilitated us they are very much cooperative and take care about the guest.

I like environment and Security of Hotel . Cleanliness . Outer area is eye catching and cool . Other facilities are great .

Staff hospitality especially the Italian Restaurant La Cucina. The Chef and the manager was remarkable ??

The airport pickup made me wait outside airport for 45 mins. The air at the time was polluted and made me sick. Later, all the other staff tried to compensate for that error and I feel they all did a great job at that!

The hotel was good and the staffs were very helpful. Specially Prerna in the front desk and the staffs who helped with wheel chairs for my mother were very helpful with everything we needed.

People sleeping on pavements outside the hotel during nights made walking to hotel at night feel bit unsafe.

Very unpleasant experience during our stay at this hotel. From the moment of arrival, the staff were unhelpful, indifferent, and at times outright rude. Simple requests were either ignored or met with visible irritation. There was no sense of basic courtesy or hospitality, which one would expect. Despite multiple follow-ups, issues with the booking and room were not resolved, and not a single manager bothered to check in or offer any apology. It felt like the staff were doing guests a favor just by being there.Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor service attitude, and complete disregard for guest comfort made this one of my worst hotel stays.

To be fair, the location of the hotel is excellent—well connected and convenient for exploring the city. The breakfast spread was also impressive, and we truly appreciated the variety and quality of food offered in the mornings.

Our recent stay at Hyatt Kolkata was, unfortunately, far from what we expected from a reputed hospitality brand. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt impersonal and, at times, even unwelcoming.Check-in was particularly unpleasant. The staff lacked the warmth and professionalism typically associated with the hospitality industry. Their approach was more commanding than courteous, making us feel more like we were entering a military facility than a hotel. We inquired about welcome drinks—usually a standard at many premium hotels—and were met with a rude and dismissive response: “If you want one, you need to ask.” This set a very poor tone for the rest of our stay.One of the most uncomfortable aspects was how the hotel handled billing. We were asked to pay the full amount for our room upfront, which was acceptable. However, on top of that, they demanded a security deposit without any clear explanation or flexibility. Being international guests, we explained that getting the deposit refunded after our stay would be difficult due to currency exchange and other complications, but the staff showed no understanding or willingness to help. This approach made us feel distrusted, as though we were suspected of something inappropriate, which was both humiliating and disheartening.The room itself was not up to expectations. The bedsheets were very thin and not warm enough, and the blankets offered little comfort. For a brand like Hyatt, this was disappointing.Overall, despite a few positives, our experience was marred by poor customer service and a lack of empathy from the staff. We expected much more from a Hyatt property and hope the management takes feedback seriously to improve their service for future guests.

Attentive management and staff. Ready to engage and help make our stay easy and enjoyable. Impressive hotel. Wonderful Regency Club - staff and food beverage offerings excellent.

Music everywhere - reception, Regency Club, pool - all too loud. Club staff kindly turned it down..

Great breakfasts and we loved our room with fantastic view of city of Kolkata. Pool also very good.

The quality of in-room dining food was not upto the mark as compared to other 5 star hotels. Rest everything was nice.

It was pretty good throughout and kids had a great time at pool. Only a couple of disappointments of slow service and not enough food variety by the pool And when they got an extra bed for my child it was full of cobwebs. I asked to clean but they did not. Felt that the hidden areas are not as clean and hygienic as it should be like under the main bed where kids crawl to hide and play etc and staff care about only visible area cleaning.
