Roland Hotel

The exterior looks nice. Unfortunately not matched by the interior.

I have applied for a full refund as the accommodation was neither what we booked (e.g. A/C not working in 2/3 rooms and another room was evidently not non-smoking since it smelt like an ashtray) nor acceptable (dirt, smell, inadequate bathroom equipment).

Lots of miscommunication from the start. Gave us wrong rooms after confirming our request on the app.

We stayed for 4 nights, and everything was fine. The breakfast for Rs 250/person was plentiful. Our window faced the street but it was quiet during the night. It is a bit of a walk to most tourist sights but the Uber in India is quite affordable.

simple but staff were accommodating.Shower didn't work but I used the pail. Water was hot so that was okFloor was quite dirty on my first night

Breakfast was supposed to be ready at 7.30am but most days it wasn't. However it was nice when we got it Our program started at 8 am or even 7.45 am so late breakfast was a problem.

Nice location. Near bhawaipore. Helpful staff. I checked in at mid night. Complementary Breakfast was also above average.

Had difficulty interacting with the receptionists, they had difficulty understanding english, other than that they were kind and courteous.

I was visiting my parents in Kolkata and our house was filled with guests and other family so I decided to book a room at Roland which is close to my parent's apartment. I found Roland Hotel good value for my money. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and the shower had great water pressure. The Wifi wasn't working the weekend I stayed which was unfortunate as I had network issues on my phone within the hotel. The TV was a smart TV with a cable box hooked up so that is great (especially when the Wifi works). The breakfast was tasty and the spread was basic which makes sense for the price point. The location is actually pretty great for anyone who finds Park Street or Park Street adjacent hotels overpriced. The staff was supportive. Overall, I am happy to find a hotel that I could house some of my guests in when my Kolkata home fills up and feel safe that they would be comfortable in it.

There is nothing good in this hotel, stuff are rude. Don't know how to welcome a guest. If you complain about anything they suggest you to manage or cope up with the things instead of solving it. Breakfast fast is highly unhigenic

Breakfast fast is highly unhigenic ,I found a larva in the fruit salad when I complain they are clueless. Another day they served tea to me in a cup having pink lipstick mark on it. On the first day bathroom was not cleaned, it has water mark and hair on the floor. I am highly unsatisfied with this hotel. And feeling cheated ?

Had a nice stay. The rooms were a little smaller than usual but overall experience was wonderful. The staff was very polite and helpful and ensured our stay was more than satisfactory.
