The location is exceptional. The breakfast spread was decent. I would specifically mention about Roshan, the property manager, who helped me upgrade to a Heritage cabin with a balcony.

The facilities are not well maintained. The AC in the room was not working optimally. Later the filter was cleaned on our request. There was a spider in the room. The quality of food could be a lot better. When we asked the restaurant to prepare a simple dish such as Jeera Aloo, our request was declined since it was not in the menu. The commode in the room was not super clean.

It was an unusual, quirky place to stay. I liked the nautical theme . The staff were lovely and professional - nothing was too much trouble. Nice soft beds and decent bathroom.

The decor could do with updating - stained wallpaper etc. The room could've done with a bit of a clean as the floor was a bit dirty and there were a few cobwebs here and there. Bathroom sink was stained around the plug hole. One room didn't have any tea bags, only coffee. I asked for a fridge in our room for my medication, was told yes, but we had no fridge. Had to get ice packs frozen/chilled at reception, which wasn't a problem. We booked taxi's to the airport at reception. Agreed a price, but it was more when we came to pay, so we didn't give a tip. My husband ordered a chicken Kathi roll for his meal but was brought chicken curry.

At the time of booking, I was assured that there would be a complimentary breakfast but the same was charged at the hotel. So, I feel myself misrepresented by Booking.com and due to that I had to pay an additional amount even when the room was booked at its high price.

The way Booking.com has made false assurance of complimentary breakfast but failed to convery the said facility to the hotel.

I was there the day before the start of the 2025 IPL for four days and had a great time throughout.Everything in the hotel runs like clockwork and professionally. From the check in, to room service, housekeeping and the dining. Even the valet parking was commendable.Special callout to Arindam Chakraborty in the restaurant and Srabanti and Akash at the reception.

I did not stay as they cancelled my booking by Whatsapp (however they did not process the cancellation through booking.com, so I have been prompted by multiple emails to leave this review.) They said that my payment card failed, which was a lie. It worked fine, I used it that day. I think they did not want to honour the price listed on booking.com or they wanted to remain high in the search rankings so accept bookings but cancel by messaging you directly on Whatsapp.

The staff is kind and polite, the bar, food and drinks were pretty good.

We had two rooms and neither of them was really cleaned, there was a strange smell. Rooms are pretty old and the place overall is a bit noisy.

Unique nautical-themed hotel in a converted ship, with perfect views of the Hooghly River. The rooms were comfortable and staff were friendly. Room service was excellent.

Nice location (apart from once being trapped in the hotel by a train stopped on the track immediately in front of the hotel). Rooms clean and comfortable, if a little dated. Bar/restaurant good

Nothing liked in the hotel except the location.

No cleanliness at all. Hopeless staff. Didn't get invoice at the time to of check out, They told us that they will send through email by afternoon. Till it didn't came. When called, they said it will sent by today afternoon.

Once they’ve got your money then they don’t care about you enjoying your stay.A huge party boat was moored alongside my cabin music and speeches blasting out for hours in addition to the invasion of privacy with people staring/taking pictures. Had to keep the blind down almost whole time. So much for a ‘river view cabin’This was a Monday night not even a weekend.Phoned the reception multiple times to ask about conpensation for this huge inconvenience (no forewarning about it of course)Eventually - having failed to call me back multiple times despite promising to - my room service item was refunded and that was all I got.If you’re going to make lots of money from party boats then fine - but at keast have the decency/honesty to advise guests in advance or limit it to certain specified days
