Baron's Palace

It was not bad, but I expected more.

The shower had a shower curtain but it's broken on the one side, it's also not appropriate as the water was everywhere in the bathroom after taking a shower. The bathroom also did not have a door, it has curtains which was torn. I find it very unprofessional for a bathroom not to have a door.

Very central to eateries and the town. The rooms are quite sound proof. No unnecessary intrusions from staff. Was quite busy when we visited and you wouldn't have noticed. The pool was well kept and maintained. We could just drop the keys in the box when we left. The rooms have aircon which was a life saver during the December heatwaves.

Not enough plugs available for both the fridge and the kettle.

Some of the linen had marks and stains on it. We were given 2 towels but booked for 3 people. Took us having to ask 3 different people to get an extra towel

Secure parking.Quiet.Good shower.Nice accomodation.We were a bit sceptical when we checked in as reception was cordened off so we had to check in at the smokey bar (complete with toilet cubicles!) but the accommodation is in a terrace row at the rear. Great place to stay.

Was clean and good location. Staff was friendly

Booked for 3 but there was only 2 cups 2 towels etc had to asked for the 3rd.

Very noisy, people walking and talking in the middle of the night pass your unit. Neighbors dogs ( must have 5 at least) barking every time there was movement. The wi fi was very poor and not worth mentioning.

Noisy from 00h00 till about 01h20. Kids running around and crying

Friendly staff. I canceled a night and got refunded ito the policy without hassle. Lovely pool which my kids enjoyed.

Noisy aircon, no iron, no dstv

Did not have the breakfast. the property was been renovated and the smell of fresh paint was very evident. The TV was not plugged in and stood on chair to switch on. The Tv only played one channel - Cricket ! there was no spare blankets , the air conditioner had not been tested and i was hit with a dust cloud when i switched it on.the shower cubicle has no towel rails or place to hang clothing. There is no place to put your soap and shower gel in shower. I strongly suggest that when a guest is given his keys that someone escort them to their room and check that all is in order. Bedding was clean and fresh but maybe due to renovations they still finding their way.

No personal attention to detail .if they pre inspect the room prior to guest arrival , it could be seen what all was lacking.

Clean and well kept with secure parking.Staff friendly and helpful.We had an issue with our geyser the first night and it was promptly sorted out the next morning.

Parking is a bit of a night mare We had early morning wake up calls looking for the individual who parked every one in..Allocated bays and additional parking space will be nice .

Good location, beds comfortable, reasonably clean

Bathroom light did not work. Bedside light switch faulty. No plug in the basin. Toilet cistern faulty. Bedroom fan completely unbalanced - could not use. Fridge not switched on - could have been done in anticipation of visit. Locals booking in to the rooms and indulging in unacceptable behavior.

The Swimming Pool area as well as the braai area

The Rooms where smelling, the bedding was old and dirty the toilet was making noise and it had 5 single beds which was unnecessary

The bed was very uncomfortable and too low

nice place, had issues getting to get hold of staff on arrival and departure, as there are no after hours staff otherwise was a great place to stay

Staff, battling to get hold of them even on the number for after hours provided, had to leave key at shop across road to leave early..

Wel received on Hospitality as well when checking out.Tranquil.Shop just opposite the street.Close (with in walking distance) to town facilities.I recommend Barons Palace anytime.Keep it up the good service.

Everything from the swimming pool, the room, the surrounding trees, the reception, the cleaning staff, all were very friendly, accomodating and very helpful. In short, the whole experience were memorable.

I liked everything except that the tv only played supersport.
