Protea Hotel Oudtshoorn Riempie Estate

The rooms are individual round huts. Very roomy with all the usual appointments and very African. Excellent food and staff. Wish I could have stayed longer.

It was really fun to stay in the little round houses. They were well maintained and comfortable - everything I would expect from a Marriott property. It’s well located on the edge of town with tons of parking and easy access to the highways. The pool area was very nice and the food in the restaurant was surprisingly good!

They can perhaps place a few plates and cutlery in room.

The rondawels are comfortable and clean and we were right next to the swimming pool. Clean and tidy property. Very quiet

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were lovely.

Unfortunately, we were misled about the actual room we received. The pictures did not depict the room we got. It was a small open room with a shower inside and no wardrobe. Just be careful and complain at reception.

A very relaxed and calm atmosphere - neat gardens - a breakfast with quite a lot of options and friendly staff. The room was spotless - will vist them again.

The Rondavel was situated amid a very tranquil setting with neat lawns with beautiful fever trees.Rondavel was spacious and well equipped.The receptionist was very friendly.No noise.

Protea Hotel Riempie by Marriot is a great place, the rooms inside and out as well as the facilities and amenities (as well as the receptionist who was well trained and welcoming) are on International standards and it was a pleasure to stay here until next time....

Blocked drain in shower.Pool need cleaning more frequently

The staff aspecaily the white receptionists with their manager wasn't helpful, they would let a customer sleep on the street, I requested to arrive at 00:00,booking.com said I can arrive on that time cause the reception will make a plan when I got there they said booking.com can't make promises like that and they don't have any room for me until the next day, the more I told them I came from far(Cape Town ), I don't have any place to sleep, they told me it's not there problem I should take it up with booking.com

Location was great the food was amazing in the restaurant. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The outdoor pool needed cleaning ! It was full of leaves and dirt on bottom of pool.

I had booked 2 separate beds and when I got to the room it was double bed. They rectified it after I complained

Beautiful cottages and central venue. Nice swimming pool. The ostrich for dinner was the best.The people were very friendly and nice.

Attractive accomodation just out of town but close to Bufflesdrift where we like to go for dinner.

The shower and wash basin is in the room but fortunately the toilet is separate. You could hear the people in the next room quite clearly.

The layout and houses

That the distance between hotel and caves was like 19 km off, although claimed that it is only 2 km away and that the room was not clean and the mattress in room 18 was worn out
