Pros +
- I’ll not stay at this hotel again.
- Breakfast selection is good, though it could offer more variety in types of cuisine (Mostly local and a few Chinese dishes. ) Coffee can be improved. I had trouble opening the tops of glass bottles of complementary water in the guest room. The metal thing did not disengage, and the whole thing kept turning, without opening. Discussed this in a casual chat with Sujata at breakfast. To my surprise, 5 minutes after returning to my room, the housekeeping brought 6 plastic bottles of water. The attentiveness to and speed with which to solve a guests's problem should be laudable. Also to be mentioned is that I got a deal to have 4 items of free laundery for each night's stay. This is really good.
- Breakfast was fantastic, great selection, and recommendation's given by enthusiastic staff
Cons -
- A woman staff at reception look down on me and thought that I didnt understand English. She raised her voice and spoke as I’m not a guess.
- Twice during my 5-day stay, I received phone calls from guest relations. Once during a meeting where I was charing. Not being used to receiving a call from the hotel I stay in during a business trip, I figured it was some kind of emergency. It turned out that someone was just calling me to ask "how's your stay? Is there any problem?" I told her (forgot to ask for her name) that she was the problem. I was quite upset. The guest's phone number is a personal information, which should be kept secure by the Management, and not to be available for staff to gain "points" for being "nice" to guests. It is a breach of trust between the guest and the hotel. And why during the day, when it is easily imaginable that these guests are there to do business and they are woking during the day (and beyond)? Intrusion to our privacy, and I have never had this upsetting experience with any other hotel in my 35 years of overseas travelling (mostly business). This should stop immediately. Text messages, maybe. But not phone calls! Another instance of staff overzealous about getting guest's recognition. On my first breakfast, a waitress asked me to fill in a customer satisfaction survey. I gave many 8s and one or two 7s out of 10. She came after me as I was leaving, saying basically only 9 or 10 are acceptable! I wonder how effective this survey is to the Management. 8/10 is good! But still there is a room for improvement. If you receive all 10s, that means the guest is not seriously cooperating with the evaluation of services on behalf of the Management. Here again I saw a hedden agenda on the minds of staff that if they get commended by guests, maybe they get promoted or get a bonus. It was uncomfortable because it was too apparent.

Renovation work being done in the bar area
The breakfast was perfect for us . It met our vegetarian diet and plenty of choice to choose from
Can’t think of anything that I could think off at the time of our stay
Excellent breakfast with variety of cuisine and fresh bakery
Swimming pool needs to be renovated
I absolutely loved my whole experience with Renaissance Hotel, right from the check in to check out. Loved the Hospitality to the core, special mention to Harshita for talking some time out to show around the property. I was at the property for my Anniversary, and as soon as the staff knew they actually outdid themselves by decorating the room and cutting the cake for us. Room were quite comfortable, view of Race Course and clean bathroom. Food was exceptional too. Would definitely like to come back again.
Not Applicable.
Bigger room , breakfast ok
Room service , promptness and training at lower level .
Excellent hospitality by the entire team. The service during the breakfast was awesome. Special mention to Sonam and chef Jai Prasad who took extra care in attending to us. It was a memorable experience
Poor
Everything...1) Chefs in LUSH resturant does not let u eat in peace..They are disturbing everytime..2) Housekeeping staff forgot to keep towels3 Shea Spa..The girl RADHIKA during facial pressed my neck bone so hard ..it is paining still now..While washing the hairr colour she washed it so badly..my dress got wet.Trisha manager of Shea was promoting Radhika..but this girl is not trained at all..4) Cabbana was full of dust...it was not cleaned..5) During check out SEEMA the reception / reservation girl forcing me to rate 9 star..6) Swarupa , she was confused that for how nights i m staying though she was present at the check in tym..I did not enjoy my trip & stay.I will NOT recommend anyone and i will also never stay again..
Amazing stay, very clean, beautifully designed hotel, spacious rooms. Breakfast at the hotel was truly exceptional, offering a rich variety of delicious and fresh dishes that catered to every taste. The food quality was outstanding, and everything was served with great attention to cleanliness and presentation. The entire staff was nice and welcoming. ensuring a pleasant dining experience every morning. A special mention goes to Salman, whose kindness and exceptional service.Thank you so much!
A possible improvement could be securing the internet with a password, as we experienced difficulties accessing certain work websites. A more stable and secure connection would enhance the experience for guests who need reliable internet for work or personal use.
The view of the racecourse and the horses was unique and memorable. We also enjoyed the comfortable bed and bathroom design with the remote controlled blind. The staff were exceptional, including the window cleaner, the security, the front desk and the staff at the restaurant. They all really made us feel welcome and created a joyful experience for our 11 month old as well.
We were probably mistakenly but kindly offered breakfast brought to our rooms at no additional cost. We got our hopes up as we had an 11 month old who had accompanied us and so this would’ve been very convenient on one of the days. Unfortunately, when requesting this on the day, this was unavailable without paying for the extra charge. But, we did understand such an offer would’ve been incredibly generous on top of the exemplary service the staff were already providing.
BreakfastStaff friendliness
The room was quite old- jadedNoisy from outside noises if trains and corridor disturbances till late at nightRooms were not soundproof Too crowded at times
Convenient locationGreat staff Facilities like gym were good Good breakfast
Loud music in lobby No speciality restaurantsDinner buffet was bad
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with staff in the check in and restaurant quite courteous and helpful n quick for any queries or concerns. For late night check ins also the staff was very quick in getting us the room assigned. And the security also check it every time, feeling safe.
The room maintenance needs improvement. Stayed in the 20th floor. There was no spoon/fork or mug to have coffee/tea. The fresh chocolates in the room was a nice touch but they were not covered and left open (not sure for how many hours) making it quite un hygienic to eat. The TV guide also needs a revamp as there pretty much nothing to watch. Even the bath tub could use a better cleaning
Good location close to a few sights, walking streets, restaurants and shops - note the main way to get around Bangalore is by taxi/Uber. Staff were really attentive, polite and helpful! The rooms are a bit dated but have everything you'd need - the daily room cleaning was very good. Standard buffet style breakfast with a few made to order items like eggs, waffles and dosas - the filter coffee was decent.
At check-in the original booking couldn't be found via booking.com. We had to ask the staff to change the mattress topper as there were some stains, which they were very quick to do and apologetic for.
Amazing hotel, ambience and impressive decor. The staff, each and every one, were helpful, friendly and professional. The location is also so convenient. Loved our stay there. The breakfast spread was simply fabulous...just need to improve the chai making skills...
Nothing. Was perfect in every way.
A good place to stay. If you are here for work and dont feel to go outside alone it is nice to stay in. Good people.
The “background” music could be at lower volume. Experienced quite noisy sometimes.
Loved the ambiance, Guest relations ambassador Sarupa made us feel so welcome and went out of her way to make sure we had a fabulous stay. Sujatha from the restaurant who was always smiling and a pleasing personality made sure to go that extra bit to spoil us ! the hotel is centrally located and has an artistic charm. Would definitely recommend staying in this fabulous property.
Fantastic service and fabulous room looking over racecourse. Really appreciated the connecting rooms for our family too!
A great business hotel.. location, cleanliness, great bed, excellent breakfast, super service.
